“Neighbors” will be screening at the South by Southwest Film Festival and Zac will be there participating in a Facebook Q&A. According to the festival’s schedule, the film will screen on March 8th at 7pm at the Paramount Theatre.

Mashable reports that Facebook will host a live Q&A with Zac, Seth Rogen and Nicholas Stoller. No time is specified yet but the event is part of a three day long partnership between the festival, Funny or Die and Facebook. Here is more info from Deadline on the FoD partnership:

The humor brand is planning a March 8-10 assault that includes tie-ins with Universal Pictures and Facebook, live podcasts, panels, an event with its Fuse show Billy On The Street… The revelry kicks off with a Saturday night Delta Psi frat party, a wink at the boisterous Greeks featured in Neighbors… There’s Neighbors-related fraternity shenanigans the next day with a Delta Psi open house. Funny or Die’s three-day party will wind down — or whip up, depending on your point of view — with a Bill Cosby concert Monday night.

Zac Efron met up with a very special fan during his recent stop at Facebook headquarters.

In fact, the 26-year-old actor was so touched that he took to social media to write Kirby Koo a sweet message about how their meeting impacted him.

“Kirby, I have so much more I want to say. And I will – when I find the words,” Zac wrote. “But I’ll start here – When you stood up, with such strength, and sincerity and gave me perhaps the nicest compliment I’ve been paid…it meant so much more than that to me. Facebook and online media in general, show only half the picture- sure people see me, but I never get to see them.”

He continued, “Yesterday was the first time in a very long time that I was able to look into your eyes and remember why I do what I do- and will never stop. I needed that, more than you will ever know and just wanted to say thanks- face to face soon I hope.”

“Zac, I am so incredibly touched by your note,” Kirby responded. “Meeting you was always the dream, but I never could have imagined that you would respond with such genuine kindness and literally open arms. The impact you and your talent have had on me and so many millions of others should never be underestimated. Beyond the actor, thank you for being such a warm, generous person and I’d be humbled to consider you a friend.”

When we sent our intrepid writer Mary H.K. Choi to interview the lovely Zac Efron at L.A.’s Chateau Marmont for the February issue of InStyle (on newsstands now), she knew he’d be a nice guy, but she had no idea how nice. “Yep, it’s true. He’s a gentleman,” she says. “He stood up when I arrived and was clearly slightly early because I was right on time. He offered to share his roasted artichoke and when I said it didn’t qualify as sharing food, he countered with ‘they’re just like nachos.’ At the end of the meal he lunged for the check and insisted on paying, saying it was ‘customary.’” Zac’s take on all this? “It’s just the way I am, the way I was raised,” he says.

He also offered up these polite bites to satiate your appetite for good, old-fashioned etiquette:

Respect your elders.
“This one’s important. You always have something to learn from people who have been through more than you. Be open and receptive to what they know.”

If you meet a girl’s parents, treat them like they’re normal people.
“Ask questions. Be engaged. Put yourself in their shoes. If I had a daughter and some guy came home with her, I’d be on him like a hawk. When I meet people’s parents I know my place. It’s not that hard. Just be sensitive.”

Get your face out of your phone.
“Please. Be in the moment and be present. I feel disconnected like I don’t know where I am if I’m on my phone too much. I’m also just the type to call. I’m not good on text.”

Be punctual.

I do my best with this one. It’s part of being decent and respectful but I’m not in control of the schedule most of the time.”

Finally, don’t be that guy.
“If there’s a party and they won’t let my friends in, I’d leave. No question. Who wouldn’t leave. I wouldn’t want to go to that party. That’s a lame party.”
