I predict this one won't get made. There's a serious script problem (discussed here earlier).

I don't see all these sappy romantic movies you complain about. TLO was a sappy romance, but that's about it. Neither Liberal Arts, The Paperboy, nor At Any Price can be described as romances. This one could be a romance but it's a comedy, and that should sake things up.

I really like when Zac does indies and comedies. I've always thought he shined best with his acting in those type of roles. And drama, but not necessarily romance, even though he's good at those too.
