They are not copying the original movie, they are re-writing it as a U.S. remake, so no accents will be required.

All of his personal projects in development are taking so long to actually develop that he is free to take parts in movies that are ready to shoot like TIWILY. If he had to live on the movies being developed specifically for him he would starve to death.

There may be some of that in The Paperboy. It's set in Florida and Zac has to match up with Matthew as his brother. Since they supposedly grew up in small-town Florida, they should have southern accents.
