Oh, I saw this. It's very sad. That shouldn't have happened to either of them. My thoughts and prayers are with him through this difficult time.
If it becomes a documentary, I doubt his partner's family will ever be on it, nor see it at all. Once a stone heart shattered and came along a true love so pure and sweet.
