Tony Moran did a remix of her "Who Says" that had me dancing for months, and I usually don't like music like Bieber, Gomez, Levato, etc.

Yes, but I've always been against the grain. I was a pop culture-hating goth in high school who hung out with the art fags, skaters, surfers, punks, theater and music kids - anyone anti-mainstream.

My mom is like that which is probably weird since I live in Alabama. You'd think everyone here would be into mainstream things.

I know gays from Mobile (they go to B-Bobs; I haven't gone there yet because they say the place is small and the trannies are "less than stunning" compared to Pensacola's Monica Heart. ) Also, N.O. has a big counterculture scene - some of my most favorite DJs play at OZ. I saw Tony Moran when he spun for "Southern Decadence" and Joe Gauthreaux got his start at that club and returns regularly to spin.
