YES! The idealism of the young is infectious and leads to optimism or at least to laughter, even in the most jaded cynic. (-: You know, if I didn't know Zac was doing the part, I would've never guessed. He has a great capacity for altering his tone, speech, etc to accord with the character. One of his many gifts in the acting dept. Literature adds to reality, it does not simply describe it. It enriches the necessary competencies that daily life requires and provides; and in this respect, it irrigates the deserts that our lives have already become. CS Lewis. |
