Not until it finds a distributor (which, hopefully, could happen at Sundance). See my post #286 above..

Does anyone know if Zac is going to sundance this Sunday?
Liberal Arts is screening at Sundance this weekend

His is a small part, but maybe he'll go just for fun. Better yet, he could show up in his mystical hippie garb; that would attract some attention!
I hope they find a distributor and then use Zac in the promo. The problem is, there a real danger that he would steal all the attention from the actual star. Could be a character test for Josh Radnor; is he willing to share the spotlight to help the movie?

I understand he has a small part, so he wouldn't NEED to be there, but like you said it would be nice if he would just go for fun.
Didn't Josh Radnor say him and Zac were "friends," not like best buds or anything. Just saying, if need be, Radnor probably wouldn't have a problem with sharing the spotlight. It's not like if Zac were to help with promo (if they find a distributor) then they would make him do a lot of promo for the movie. Probably just an interview or two.

As I understand it, Zac and Josh hooked up at the Maui Film Festival last year, so they are acquiantances and casting Zac for this cameo appearance was by mutual arrangement, not an open casting call.
I raise the question of sharing the spotlight because Radnor wrote, directed, and stars in Liberal Arts, so it may be rather an ego project for him. The kind of over-the-top attention that Zac attracts could be very annoying for someone who may think "this movie is mine, all mine."

So exciting Liberal Arts is one of the top 5 movies to watch at Sundance! And they mentioned him in the cast...some articles don't.

That's so exciting. Even though Zac does have a small part, it still gets him some exposure with people who wouldn't normally go see a "Zac Efron movie."

so, is anyone here going to see it on the 26th?

Hopefully, if no one here sees it, someone else will post a review, and there ought to be some comment from Sundance attendees, so we'll get a better idea of what this movie is all about and how Zac fits into it. Start your search engines on the 27th.
