He probably expected them to be there, but...he looks kinda down in the dumps to me. I thought it was fatigue, but now I'm thinking it might be sadness / depression. I hope everything is okay.
It sucks getting knocked down and getting up only to get knocked down again. After it happens over and over, falling down and standing up, its hard to stand up, knowing what will happen: the blow, the fall, the downess. But what choice do you have BUT to stand up? To stay on the floor is to admit defeat, to give up on everything. You have to get up - the mettle of a person is determined by their ability to rise to the challenge. But the key to standing back up again is to have someone who can offer you a hand - and that's where true friends and family make a real difference.
Well there's a bunch of flashing lights and people yelling and bombarding you, so its to be expected that he would feel uncomfortable since he's said before how much he's still not used to all the attention.
