I don't think shrinkage is a consideration, though that may have happened too. "Years ago" there was no Twitter and this may have been the only discussion site available (even today most Zac sites only post news and provide photo archives). Now, Twitter offers a potential audience of hundreds of millions, so that's the natural place to post messages to fans.
Sometimes I think this forum should have a home base on a twitter or another instant posting instant news site. Forums I'm sensing are going out of date.
I agree with this,then if you want to discuss the news in more depth you come to the forum.
