I read somewhere that the release for Me And Orson Welles would between OCT anf Nov of 2009.

That doesn't surprise me as they want to give the guy who plays Welles a shot at an Oscar. Aparently he does a fantastic job.

However i hope he will come for this movie at least, there will be the Festival di Venezia
and the Festival Internazionale del Film di Roma, in september&october..
if he won't come, i'm moving to London.

If the release date is down as Oct/Nov 2009 they could link the release in with the London Film Festival here in the UK. They have premiers of new movies.

As it's an independant film it may not get shown by all the cinema chains (in the UK anyway), even with Zac in the cast, so the LFF would be a good place to showcase the film.

It should have a London premier, it's been made by a UK company, filmed in the UK.

That's what I'm starting to think. It'll be released to independent theaters and not get a wide release. I'm somewhat lucky as we have an indie movie theater in my town. I'd still like to see it get a full release.

If I don't start to see a mainstream trailer out by at least July, then I'll start to get worried. It's disconcerting that this movie went through two film festivals, and still didn't get a distributor, even though Variety pegged it on it's list of films that should get picked up. Take a deep breath and slow down, we don't know yet until the festival announces it's programme of films.

The link below my previous message shows the festival runs from 14 - 29 October 09, so it could work out the right time for MAOW. We just have to keep checking.

I've just looked on the BFI website and films have to be submitted to the festival, and the deadline for full length feature films is 10 July 09, so we will not know anything until after that date.
