17 again deleted scenes

ok idk if it was just me but didnt there look like there was more to the movie in the previews? i loved the movie but i could have sworn there was scenes on the previews that werent in the movies.

yeah they deleted a few scenes.
there was the one of him dancing at the party, him putting his shirt back on, and there was one tha wasn't shown in the advert, its where the 'older' mike, shoots some hoops. (:

on the trailer there was a scene of him dancing at the party yet in the movie he doesnt

and theres a scene as well of him puttin his shirt on again (i think hes in scarlett's garden) yet the only time u c him topless is in the basketball scene at the start

and there's the part in the 2nd trailer where in walks in to the room at the party & the 3 girls are there
and in a bts from a while ago theres a part where ned asks mike(matthew) if he's crazy cuz hes gonna shoot himself or something

i thought i was going crazy for a sec. i thought i missed because my cousin was like YEA HE WAS SHIRTLESS. probally asuming i ment when he was shooting basketballs
i was so mad when i didnt see those parts.

I think I know why they deleted those scenes. I think they deleted them so that:
1.)the movie wouldn't run too long. (even though it's a really good movie.)

2.)they may be low on budget money because of the econmoy.

3.)They didn't want the dancing at the party scene to look to high school musical-y

4.)they might have thought even though 17 again was a pg-13 movie,Little girls would go see it too. So they cut out the shirtless in the garden part.

But these are just what I think. I admit I was looking forward to those scenes. I hope their on the DVD.

then everyones gunna know, how
the character got to where she did.
im on about the golden compass.

but the little girls, ar eprobably gunna think its like hsm.
i doubt the 7 or 8 year olds, are gunna watch the behind the scenes
on youtube like we did.
or anything like that.

things like that go over small kids heads anyhow,

and its not like hes real naked just no shirt, boys walk around like that in the high street on hot days.

It really annoys me when they cut scenes from the trailer.. It's the trailer that sells the damn film in the first place, so why cut the scenes?!!!!!!!

It's a 12A here in the UK, there are already scenes not suitable for younger viewers so why they didn't keep those scenes in is beyond me, perhaps they decided against coz they are jealous of Zac haha!!!

After reading interviews where they said he spent most of the film topless, I was a littel disappointed we didnt have the other topless scene.
Also they put a picture in the paper of that second topless scene promoting the film on it! And it was on Rove.

With these supposed deleted scenes, you have to remember that trailors are sometimes made with B-roll scraps. Simply because it's in a trailor, doesn't mean it's in the film.

I agree on the time constraints and the dancing being too much HSM, though it would have been a nice link back to what he did in the begining of the movie.

I was disappointed that those couple of scenes from the trailer weren't in the movie either! I am just praying that they are least deleted scenes on the DVD, so we can still see them somehow! I agree that the dancing bit would have been a great tie-in to the beginning of the movie! Oh, well! Maybe we'll get an extended edition DVD and they'll just put those back into the movie for the DVD! :p

I can't wait to see the deleted scenes on the DVD if they include them... it's the first part of the DVD I go to, apart from the outtakes :)
