It's an expression meaning he's not going to tell the guy on-camera. The Green Room is a 'holding tank' where the show's guests can go and relax and eat and talk with other guests and interviewers.

It's sort of like if you're having a conversation with a friend and it's in a public place and you get asked a question that you don't feel comfortable answering then or at all you just say, "I'll tell you later" or "I'll tell you some other time."
