Zac Efron as Luke Skywalker in "Star Wars" TV series?

And Efron (http://www.worstpreviews.com/names.php?name=zac%20efron) was so inspired by Lucas' collection that he is now requesting to be considered for the lead role in the "Star Wars" TV series.

"There were real stormtrooper outfits, real memorabilia from the movie. There were a lot of valuable things we were wrecking in that house. That element, that nerd part of the film, is right up my alley," Efron told Moviehole. "I was so at home in that house. I would look at everything for hours. I have pictures with Darth Vader and Chewbacca."

He added: "George Lucas is doing a Star Wars TV series? Oh man. I'll have to put in a phone call. Young Skywalker? Yeah... Bring it On!"

man i hope this is ssssssssssssssooooooooo true! i am one LARGELY HUMONGOUS fan of Star Wars and i think Zac totally fits the part of Luke Skywalker. and i have to say when i first saw HSM 1, there was that scene when troy and gabriella were looking at the fireworks and when troy looks at her......... almost an exact replica of Luke Skywalker. i totally support him.

and when i saw Zac do the lightsaber fight with Ned (Tom Lennon) i was like "whoa! he is soo good!" i wanted to be the one fighting him tho. ^^ this will totally rock!

and if Zac wants to try something different, then this should be it for him. which is funny..... Mark Hamill (the original Luke Skywalker) went to TV to see if he could try something more challenging. but there might be a big problem: Zac might have to go through what Hamill went through. People saw Mark (or in this case, Zac) as the character they played and they didn't want that. If Zac wants to win this part, he just needs to make sure to surprise the producers and more importantly..... George Lucas.
