SNL would be on the 11th, we think. According to an old story done with Tina Fey, the guest host usually meets with the cast and producers on the Wednesday before their scheduled appearance. It is then that the guest host can choose which skits he/she is going to be involved with along with head honcho Lorne Michaels.

From that meeting the writers start refining their scripts. On Thursday the Weekend Update cast and crew come in and start compiling. Thursday also sees the musical guest and Guest Host come in to do promo spots for the Saturday show.

On Friday the show is blocked (rehearsed for camera angles). Each writer acts as the producer for their sketch. Sets start to come together.

Saturday is a very full day for these guys. Lorne Michaels is brought in and the show is run through with props. After the run through, it is then determined which sketches will stay in and which will be cut. That is then follwed from 8-10PM ET, by a dress rehearsal performed infront of the studio audience.

Lorne Michaels uses audience reaction and Guest Host input on how to re-work a sketch and the head writer goes to work making the changes.

the Live show then begins at 11:29:30 PM ET.

Hope that helps. Basically the Guest Host has to be in New York City for Wednesday. If he is scheduled to be the host on April 11th, that puts him as must be in NYC for April 8th.

Has his appearance date for SNL even been confirmed? I mean, I know there's been rumblings. I posted what the timeline of the show is, not a definite he's doing it. Has there been any kind of confirrmation?

Yeah there has. One of the writers of SNL said that Zac was one of the last hosts of the season, but he didn't mention the exact date he would be hosting. Kathryn posted it a while ago on the home page :)

depending on schedule and how much they wanna be involved in the show, they will be there the whole week. like im pretty sure when justin timberlake does it, he is there the whole week, and if u have seen any of justins snl shows they are the best, and its obvious he works hard on them
