I have a lot of girls that I've fought with and my parents still hate them.
Like to this day my parents will never get over what people have done to me.
I can't really either and even when I'm good with them my parents still think they are odd.

you could, if you wanted, and your friend thought
it was a good idea, ask to talk to her step mom.
let her know that you feel differently than you did before.
and you and her daughter are really close, and you feel
like you deserve a second chance.
