ok, some of you migh know that i have CFS/ME.
if you dont know what it is, and wanna find out, Google Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Anyway, lately, i fgured out what i really wanna do with my life, I wanna act! I used to do a bit of it when i was younger, but then i was bullied, so ik stopped, then i did alot of sports, and i mean ALOT. I did Inter School Sports [Athletics] [i think thats right] that was when i was 11 years old. I got Silver! yayy!! Lol, aah!
Then i went to Secondry School [sp?] {High School} and then in September the beginning of year 8, thats when i fell ill. And i went home from school everyday.
I was 12 when i first got it, which means i have NO teenage life. NONE. I stay inside all day, i cant get out of bed. my joints hurt. last time i was at school was October '08 [the day of the HSM3 london premiere. best day ever!] i onlygo school for an hour, because thats all i can do. and now it's February '09, and it was onyl last week, that i really decided that i wanted to be an Actress. Start off in like a British soap, like Eastenders[which i LOVE] and work my way up. Hopefully to Hollywood someday. Only one person in this crazy worls, know's i wanna be like Kate Winslet. [Ang!!] The Sun, newspaper, said she is Britains Best Actress, and i wanna be her. I wanna be Britains Best Actress! I wanna win a Golden Globe, or an Oscar! [and no i dont wanna be an actress so i can star along side Zac. I know that probably wouldn't happen] Since i became a Zac Eron Fan in 2006, i have been writing. [mostly about Zac] so i was either going to be a writer, or actress. anyway... My ME is the only thing stopping me. i have NO confidence.[sp?] it's totally gone. i have NO friends. because they all ditched me when i fell ill. i dont know what to do. I REALLY wanna act. It's my dream, to be part of the Eastenders cast. I have been watching them all for years. [ I remember an episode where Phil was trapped when he and someone else went to rob some place.] anyway.. i wanna act! pleasee, pleasee dont say, give it a try. audition for a school play. [i have no energy too STUPID M.E]

but thatnkyou, for making me smile everyday! You keep me going.i have really bad days, when i am soo sick of having no friends, and sick of being stuck inside allday.[i have been inside 24/7 for 2 years now] ok, now tears are forming in my eyes for writing this for Zac. i had this planned out in my head, now i've forgotten it all. but yeah, thankyou Zacc! the only think i can tell you and probably most of us will say this is to try out.
obviously you have your illness to consider, but maybe you can talk to your doctor about a medication to help alleviate the symptoms and get you be more active.

it really isnt fair for a girl to miss out on her teenage years, school, and dreams dut to an illness.
first thing i would do is talk to your doctor and not take no for an answer. be persistant and once you can get yor illness under control you'll be able to go out there and audition

i think that everything you've been through will make you stronger. i have tourettes and through it all, i do my best to overcome it. now i'm acting, singing, dancing, modeling, everything. you just have to be strong cause in the end, all those people who left you, will be begging to come back to you. i think if it's something that you really want, go for it! give it your all and dont stop until you get it. and i agree with pookey09, try and get some meds to help you. but like i said, just go for it and give it all you got

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
I've said this a YEAR ago now....is a symptom of having thyroid trouble...doesn't always but it sounds a lot like how my mom said she felt when she was 14 or so.

The doctor's called it Student Fatigue Syndrome but basically she was tired all the time and couldn't do stuff cause her body hurt and she was just sick ALL the time.

If u were living in my house you'd probably be doing better just because my mom knows all the signs of things like this. idk if they have any knowledge of this in england [cause they sure as heck don't know anything barely in the US. Doctors are a little dense...so that's why I'm going into nursing :]

This has been going on for so long and u can't just let it get worse....something has got to be done and idk why no one is helping you really with this.

Never give up on what you dream of doing. Just take the time to really get it done. Ask to get your blood drawn and check your T3 and T4 count. My mom's doctor told her the numbers aren't even what matters anymore but if u feel like crap and are sick then obviously they aren't working out. You're still going through puberty so it's going to be a little off. Mines like a 5.5 or something weird so my mom was worried for a while cause a normal range shouldn't be more than 1....it's very confusing idk. If you were going to go on the pill. [it's tiny and the doseage is so little to start out with not a big deal] then it takes about a full year to really get your levels worked out.

I did an entire report on graves disease which is hypothyroid or hyperthyroid Im honestly not sure, but yeah it's all the confusing thyroid junk I'm still trying to understand myself cause god knows I'm gonna be taking the pills for it soon.

But does your mom actually know about your wish and dream? If Iīd say to my mother, hey, I wanna breed tamarisk gerbils, she would be like: Yea, sure - did you see my reading glases...?

You know what I mean? Maybe your mom didnīt take you seriously because she doesnīt even know how serious you are?
If you tell her about how important and heartfelt your wish is and that you really wanna do everything to make it come true, she probably will listen to you seriously.
Speak to her, say something like: mom, this is not just some kind of daydream. I really wanna go for it. But I need your support and special help to take the next steps.
And maybe sheīll be more open to your plans, if you keep it a bit low-key at first. If you want to partake the Eastenders Cast, tell her that and THEN you go for the Golden Globes. :-)
I agree too, take your mom, go to the doctor and talk about the opportunities - if the doctor knows too, he can give you, I donīt know, maybe other meds which allow you to focus your power on things like auditions or practising at home or all the little first steps.

I think itīs important to let your family know what you wanna do and that you are serious about that. You know, people often say, oh no, thatīs the wrong way... but maybe itīs just your own...

yeah, she knows i wanna be an actress, because i have told her that i wanna be in Eastenders.

but i know what you're saying. (: Thankiess

And what about proving her how serious you are? Find out what to do concretely to be part of the Eastenders. Where do you have to audition, prepare yourself and then you go to your mom and the doctor and say: I know what to do, I know where and how to actually start - now please help me to make it work. (New/other meds etc).

I keep my fingers crossed!

Do you know Henry Maske? Probably not. Well, he was a very successfully boxer who came back in the boxing ring for the very last time a long time after he has ended his career. NO ONE believed he would be able to win that fight.
Now listen to this song dedicated to him. "The impossible dream"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfkkKunaEw0

And guess what... he won!
Donīt give up!

Bee, this is great advice.
Research your illness. I have PCOS(Polycystic Ovaries Syndrome) which is a hormonal imbalance that has some nasty side effects and every day I struggle to manage, like you because of my confidence.
I felt a whole lot better after researching my condition and support groups where you can read other people's stories.
I was lucky enought to be able to say, I wont let PCOS define me and I moved on but I still struggle in lots of ways that are personal.
But this is a good start- research. Everything. the disease, what you can do to help your own symptoms, how to get into acting. Local theatre etc.
Like I said, even if at first its to volunteer and help for an hour with props or lines or something, get started on something and as you get better then you can do more.

Don't let your disease take you over- you are still a person, your ME doesnt define you.:)

as someone said above (i think), i think first you should speak to a doctor or something about ways to become more active and become able to get about better. don't put too much strain on yourself though, because you have a great advantage of being young, which means you have time. once you've got past that, then you should look about for auditions or even contact the bbc about it. if you ever feel you can go, i'm sure there are workshops funded by the bbc for young people for stuff like acting. what ever you do don't give up on your dream. i'm starting uni soon, and i have no idea with what i want to do. the fact you have something you know you want to do is something to be proud of. go for it.

ive never thought of contacting the bbc before. i'll have to tell my mum that.

Oh Beee...
i really want to say something nice that'll make you smile,
i'd like to give you some good advices,
to make you believe in your dreams...
you know...movie stuff...
but this is not a fairy tale,
i can't tell you
"believe in your dreams and problems will disappear"
I...hate those situations, i hate when people suffer
and the best you can do is say some random quotes that
you don't even believe in.

Really beee...
I wish you all the best in your life,
don't know if this'd be useful or just a waste of letters
but that's the best i can do...

I just admire how much strenght
you have inside of you,
i just admire
what an awesome person you are
and i just wish
people will see your
determination behind your health problem...

never give up.
thats what everyone here is going to tell you.
even then big actors in hollywood.
maybe in school if you have the energy you can ask you school play director to have a really small part in the school play.
then work your way up to bigger roles.
show your mom how much you REALLY want this.
or
go to the community theater and see what they have for you.
im sure there can be a really small part.

sorry if that didnt help.

Woah. My mom said that, except i said oscar. haha.

You're kinda on the same route as me, I Just have a tad weight problem, NOTHING O.T.T but just something, and my mom kinda put me down because of that, But now, i'm doing something about it.
You've gotta start by finding something that you can handle with your illness. Like, how much pressure you can take and what your limits are.
Start by finding a acting school/college/classes that are only like a few days a week. They also help with your confidence (I Went to one in 06 and it was seriously the best ever, We danced, sang, acted and totally boosted our confidence with other people). :) x
YOU ALSO NEED TO GET HEADSHOTS AND A MANAGER, THEY NEED THE PHOTOS TO SEND OFF TO CASTING AGENCIES AND WHATEVER.
ITV and BBC1 usually need minor actors so just keep looking for job vacancies around on the sites.

And Yah, I wanna go to the westend and perform on there and then go into a few movies in america, haha.

And for the record, i have 2 friends, I Get homeschooled and live with my single parent mother, i kinda know how you feel, Bee.

how about making some audition tapes?
and just keep sending them into the bbc.
i wanna write when im older, and the bbc has a great system for people who have written screen plays etc, and lets you send them in, they read everyone (so they say) and respond on whether they want to take it further.
its a hard profession to get into, acting, the whole media profession.
well thats what most people tell you.
although my one of my old media teachers said to me "everyone says its hard to get into. its not. aslong as you go for it. you can do it"
yeah not much help but just thought id add, seen as id just read the whole of this thread lol.

i think if its something you really want, you'll find a way to make it work,
because i believe that things always work out in the end.
i'm sure that you'll find that living with your condition will make you a stronger person,
and so much more determined than you think!
just don't give up, if you love it, go for it =)
