FIRST (and most important): Every tutorial that I post here is just a guide. This means that you can use apply the layout/style of my designs to whatever you choose to make ; don't make an exact copy.SECOND: I would absolutely love to see your results ; it makes me happy when people actually like my stuff enough to try it. THIRD: Almost all of the textures that I use from my tutorials are not made by me. Credit for textures/brushes goes to their respected owners.
So what are we makin' exactly?

textures used:
notebook stock (http://i43.tinypic.com/s2xjqv.jpg)
scattered lights stock (http://i40.tinypic.com/e703ux.jpg)
random text stock (http://i41.tinypic.com/dzi4uf.jpg)
bow stock (http://i44.tinypic.com/4u9mk6.jpg)
square shape texture (http://i42.tinypic.com/344qpah.jpg)
notes: 1) This only works with a black canvas. Well, it doesn't ONLY work with a black canvas, but if you want to be easy on yourself & save time - use a black canvas. 2) You will need a HQ picture(s) for this wallpaper so that it fits length-wise across your canvas. * Also, you will need to color your pictures before you add them to you canvas.
001. Open up a blank canvas and fill it with black. I was making this wallpaper for a laptop so mine was 1280x768.
002. Paste the notebook stock texture onto your black canvas. Don't resize it to fit the entire canvas ; you will only need to resize if the texture isn't fitting across (left to right).
003. Paste your HQ picture ontop of the notebook texture. Now, set it to 'Colorburn' or 'Multiply' - whichever you think looks better. Sharpen layer if nessesary *Because you have a black canvas, your picture should only be covering the notebook texture.
004. Paste the scattered lights stock texture ontop & set to 'Lighten'. Erase parts that you don't want showing on your wallpaper.
005. Open up a new canvas an make a small blend using as many pictures as you'd like. Sharpen if necessary. Mine was roughly 400 x 300.
006. Copy and paste (or drag) the small blend into the lower right (or left) hand corner of your blend. Pixelate it (Filter- Pixelate- Mosaic..). Rotate so that its angled a little (see my example if you don't understand).
007. Repeat step four, but don't pixelate. Move it ontop of your pixelated blend layer & resize it to be a little bit smaller than your pixelated layer.
008. Add random text stock texture ontop of the small blend. Set to 'Screen.'
009. Add bow stock texture to the top corner of the small blend.
010. Add square shape texture. Set to 'Lighten'.
011. Add text, and any extras you'd like.
That wasn't that bad, was it?
