I am a young entertainment industry professional who is looking for work. However, because of a lack of industry in my hometown and the economy, I have been looking to move to LA. The move not only costs a lot, but leads me to spend a lot of money until I get a job. This is an all or nothing deal, seeing as though Im about to turn 25, and do not want to have to fly home.

I want to take the risk, but I cant get myself to set a date on things. Any advice for anyone that has done this before?

well, do you have a job right now? if not, GET ONE. and work all the time, and save pretty much all of it.
if you are eager to get to LA, maybe work a few months. then you have a little cash by the time you get there, and then once you are there and settled find a job to hold you over until you get one with the entertainment industry.
do you have friends or family in LA? if you do, see if you can crash at their place for a month or two while you look for a job, and with your saved money, pay them or help out with groceries or something. if you dont have anyone to stay with, use your money to buy the cheapest apartment you can find.
