ERICA'S COLORING TUTORIALS!
hello.
everyone has told me to make another coloring tutorial, so i am.
im using psp ultimate photo x2, but ill try and make it translateable.
im pretty sure all of these tutorials will work on:
most versions of psp
most photoshop versions.
all images cropped by me.
please don't use the example avatars.
COLORING 1

- first take your image, resize it, and crop it.
- duplicate your background, and set to Screen 29%
- make a new layer and fill it with #050337, set to exclusion at 80%.
the exclusion equivalent for gimp is screen screen subtract [3 layers]
- make a new layer, and fill it with #d4f5f6, set to burn 66%
- duplicate your image [background layer], and drag it to the top, set it to soft light.
- make a new hue/saturation layer, and set the saturation to 15
for gimp, just set the hue/saturation to 15.
-make a new channel mixer layer[for gimp, just go to channel mixer]
and set the settings to the following.
RED CHANNEL:
red: 123
green: -40
blue: 10
GREEN CHANNEL:
red:-17
green:112
blue:1
BLUE CHANNEL:
red:1
Green: 0
blue: 100.
merge all.
COLORING 2

- duplicate image, set to overlay 42 %
- make a new hue/saturation layer [gimp just go to hue/saturation]
set it to 25.
-make a new layer, fill it with #211d4d set to exclusion 42%
- make a new hue/saturation layer, and set the master setting to 8
and the red setting to 19
- make a new layer, and fill it with #ffdff0 and set it to burn 60%
merge all layers.
ignore the fact that it says 5, its the 5th coloring tutorial on my site [;
