Everytime I see something that's HSM, I wanna buy it...over the past year, I can't imagine how much money I have spent on HSM stuff like purses, stand-up, posters, jewelry, etc. My mom keeps telling me not to buy more HSM stuff! Today I went to see HSM: On Ice and she said I could get a souvenir..I come home with about 4 items and she is so mad at me! I think I have a problem! Any advice??

though we dont have that much hsm stuff over here so im ok
i loved hsm on ice when it came here back in april, i wanted the teddy but my aunty bought me the cheerleader skirt purse and a water bottle lol
just try to resist, like tell yourself you have no money and just walk by and argue with yourself. i dunno lol

just ask yourself if you really need it, and if you will use it in a few years, and think about better things you could spend your money on.
also, if you are going shopping, bring money for only the things you are planning on buying, or just tell yourself that you WILL NOT BUY any hsm stuff. maybe even write it on an index card, sign your name underneath, and put it in your wallet with your money.

hopefully it's just a phase.
i used to be like that D: lol.
but i eventually decided to spend my money on things that actually mattered,
and learned to save them up for like concerts where i can see the people and stuff.
enjoy it while it last! then later on you'll wonder what to do with all the stuff ... :]

realize how stupid it is and in 3 years none of it will matter.

Maybe leave your money at home? or part of it?

I don't think there is much wrong with buying things you enjoy here and there as long as it is not making you broke :) I am sure you are making Disney happy anyway!

My daughter buys all sorts of stuff I do not find interesting (sorry - I should have mentioned I am like a 100 year old Mother with a bunch of kids ;) but as long as she is setting some aside (she has a savings account) for a larger item/goal then I don't really mind. The most important thing is to get into a habit of savings.

i'm the same way.
with Jonas Brothers
and HSM. I have the
HSM bear from
Build~A~Bear.
Also i'm the same way
with Hollister. for some
reason i cant leave the
store without buying
something. the past
few times i've went into
hollister i come out of the
store with nothing. so thats
good

wow.

hmm. maybe you need to move on like
find a new obsession for example
twilight. try and move on buy throwing
the merch away.. or selling them on ebay (:
then yeah. and to stop thinking about hsm.
read a twilight book or a book thats not hsm ..
or limit yourself.

cause i really dont' care about it.
and i realized i wasted over $200 on it.

ok, i don't think advising her to become obsessed with twilight is the best idea^

just buy that crap. just don't buy it. think about how you'll feel when you have got over it. because as impossible as it seems at this point in your life, it will happen. and i will personally deliver you a million dollars if it doesn't happen by the time you're on your death bed.

just think about it,

just tell yourdself no;
only nring enough money for food, or whatever,
and dont worry, i tiwll pass.
It you see something you really really really want,
then take a picture/print a picture off of it and put the picture where you'll see it everyday,, like your bedroom door or mirror. if you STILL want it after 2 weeks, then its worth buying,
but most likey it'll wear off and you'll realize you dont really want it all that bad,

hope i helped! (:

that used to be a big problem with me
i think at one time i owned every single high school musical shirt, wallet, cd, etc. in limited too
and at hsm on ice all my mom let me get the wildcat stuffed animal and that was it! i still have it too, and i went a loooong time ago.
and now i have the same problem with twilight stuff! i can't stay out of hot topic (but that's not the only reason why i love that store) becaue of all the twilight-related stuff.
so it's basically a trend for me

beeee.

ok maybe u could just think about what that money could buy like food for starving people, education for kids whose parents cant afford it and stuff like that and think about the fact that they don't know what hsm is and then walk past it and buy stuff you need

yesplease

Thanks everyone! I think I am over it now! I am moving onto Twilight! My parents got me TONS of Twilight stuff for Christmas and the Christmas before it was all HSM!

For me it's big necklaces, and perfume.
I seriously have an issue when I see cheap perfume that smells good from like Hollister, AE, Anchor Blue, Charlotte Ruse sp?.
idk I see something on a person I like and I have to get it.
I have a few Twilight and a few HSM thingys...but nothing extreme.
I do have an issue with going to thrift stores and buying elephant and eeyore stuffed animals and figurines. [They line the shelves around my room and in my closet. My friend said once that if there was an earthquake she'd die from suffication of my room]
