Here are 10 reasons why Zac Efron can be the next Leonardo DiCaprio. Efron has said in the past that he’d love to follow in Leonardo DiCaprio’s professional footsteps but he doesn’t think it is easy. I think he’s wrong, here are 10 reasons we think Zac, the biggest teen idol can be the next DiCaprio or even bigger!
Zac told Famtastic: ‘Leonardo DiCaprio is someone whose career path I would love to emulate. The problem is there’s not enough scripts about giant boats sinking that are immersed in a love story.

Titanic 2? I think Zac will be the perfert guy to play it. There might not be a Titanic 2 but there’s definitely a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 of which Zac has signed a deal to star along side Johnny Deep for a whooping $10 million bucks. Hey not bad for a 21-year old!

As much as I love Zac I have to say that there are no more such strong idols created as there were in the 1990's. When someone appeared then, a hysteria for him/her was going on for many years. Think Madonna (OK, she started earlier than '90's), Ricky Martin, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, probably more who don't come on my mind now. Today's "material for paparazzi" seems weak when compared with those gigants.

Zac of course has talent, is cute and has great connection with fans. And I wish him all the best. I just feel careers are not long-lasting now. This type of stars probably has proven too expensive for showbusiness.

celebs from way back are really known now beacuse they had what it took and acted there butts off lol
but know is hard to stay in hollywood for more than a month celebs are constantly being replaced by rising stars! and now if ur not in some kind of rumor and controversy than ur not that big in hollywood and zac is just too clean for that ofcourse he will forever live in our hearts but we still have to see what the future has for him! :]

I agree with you. Today, the majority of the girls are crazy about Zac for his blue eyes and for his amazing body (:D). Personally, I think he is really beautiful (ok one of the most beautiful :oops:) but I admire Zac because he is someone humble, natural and talented. Unfortunately, everybody doesn't recognize that !

Leonardo is one of the best actor of our generation. We can't compare Zac, who is 21 and Leonardo who acting since so many years !

We wish him a big career as big as Leonardo, but first, we must love him for what he does, not for what he is.

i kind of hope he doesn't end up "the next Leo".....cause Leo has been disappointing me so much with his movie choices these past few years..like RR...we finally get Kate and Leo in a movie again and it's a mess...thank god they still have great on-screen chemistry (not going to lie, the only reason i watched it was because Kate was in it and so was Kathy Bates..two of my fav actresses)

For me, if i had to compare Zac to being the next anybody, i would choose Fred Astaire, because he was an actor/singer/dancer and did all three great. And seeing as how Zac has been a main part of two of the biggest musicals in recent years (HSM franchise, and the Hairspray movie), he fits the comparison nicely. Especially seeing as how he's doing the musical version of Footloose. Fred was known for his musical films. Fred was an amazing natural dancer. Zac always says how it takes him forever to learn choreography, but once he learns it, he does it perfectly so he has the talent present. Zac also has that natural charm that you can feel when you watch him in films, like Fred had....lol i feel like i wrote a novel..this is what happens when i have nothing to keep me from writing lol


EDIT: i've actually been thinking about this..i think Gene Kelly would work better than Fred Astaire..just because a huge part of Fred's career was with Ginger Rogers, and Zac hasn't had a co-star like that yet. So Gene Kelly fits him better

Like I said he wont stay in the HSM stuff Forever he Ashley and Vanessa are all getting older they all have been in there fair share of Kids Stuff they will begin to get to Mature Roles it happens with everyone the older you get you dont continue the Kiddy movies your move on and they will.Will they be succesfull i have no idea but they will begin the Mature stuff soon now Miley and the Jonas Bros will be involved in Teeny Stuff for awile because they still are Teans.Zanessa and Ashley are not Teens anymore Ash is 23 Zac 21 and V 20 so they will begin Mature Movies i think and im looking forward to it because im 22 and id like too see them in mature stuff myself in my opinion they will all be succesful and obv they will never forget the HSM experience because thats what started there careers and made them Famous but its time for Older roles

Why would any actor want to be Leonardo Di Caprio?
I can understand that they'd want to be in the same position as him
but acting is all about having your own style and image
