A suggestion for a Zac Chat.

What would you say if we could chat with Zac Efron on here? I know Kathryn would have to set it up. It's very hard to know what Zac's doing and he's a busy man. Who wants to chat with Zac? Let's see how may people want to have one day where Zac comes on to a "SAFE" chat on here. One day is all I ask. Zac would be "Zac Efron" in the chat and we'd probably sign on with our Zefron names. This is much harder than it looks, but with enough help, we can all work it out. All you have to do is say "Yes" or "No" and give a good reason why or why not.

I hate to be the one to bring everything down, but I think we need to get the forum together first. Its hard enough stopping fights on here over silly issues. So just imagine what it would be like in a chat with Zac. Yeah, I know that Zac wouldnt be actually talking with everyone (instead answering questions). But there will always be fights over who got questions answered, what happened in the chat before and after Zac was on. Not to mention of course getting something like this set up.

he should do a webcam thing and they should set up meebo chat rooms for people who want to ask questions and he can move into the chat rooms while on the webcam with everyone on the zefron home page. thats what taylor swift did on her myspace. yeah i know zacs busy but so is taylor and she still did it. im sure there is alot of times where zac could take 10-15 minutes out of his day to do this for his fans. alot of the time he said he sits home and plays video games anyway

Hmm..I'd ask from the organisation point of view - Zefron isn't only site devoted to Zac, and all the other websites would probably would love to have him to come chat on their chat too. He has no reason to agree to chat on Zefron.com just becouse the admin would ask him.

And it's probably is last thing he has on mind, to sit and chat with some crazy people who he doesn't even know.

Oh, it happens :) THose bots that do this sometimes try to be convincing by adding a line "oh that's a nice pic" or something, what makes you belive it's a genuine reply in the thread. But the thread is picked randomly, it can be seen sometimes here on Zefron when a bot reanimated a topic that was dead for 2 years and post something there, not related to conversation at all, and followed by advertising.

This sounds like a great idea, but seriously would it even happen. He is just way too busy, but then again he does have quite a few days off in between promotions and interviews and such.

Idea- So miraculously he says ok, everyone is right about he site crashing and everyone would trying to get on and ask rediculous questions. How about we section the day up. For a few hours, usernames with starting with the letters A-G, H-N, etc. It would be a lot more organized and less people would be on at once, excluding those who think they can come on and chat anyway.

The time difference would be a big thing too. Members come from all over the world and the time difference between here (pacific coast) to where ever you are is a big deal. We would have to make it based on pacific time in the US for Zac's convience.

For sure we would make this for Members only, no guests, which would eliminate a lot of people. Possibly only advertise it in the Forum, that way we don't get an overload of new members all at once that will add to the caos.

Those are just my thoughts, but I would definitely like to see this happen.

but... there are so many things that would make it hard to happen. first, zac is sooo busy and we all know it. the time he actually gets off he wants to relax i am sure and not chatting with weird us. haha. no, i'm sure he would love to, only if he had the time.
plus, this forum wouldn't work with him chatting. it would be packed and people would freak out. it would be chaos. if we could find some way to organize it where one person gets a chance at a time to talk or something maybe it could work. but other than that, everyone would be asking stuff at the same time and he would be lost. haha.

THAT right there, makes this cease being an idea. You've now told people that it is going to happen, and that people should sign up. That is wrong and a dangerous thing to do. And yes, it is dangerous because you are getting fans hopes up. And who will be held responsible if this didn't happen? Who's liable for that?

Because of what is posted in your 'possible answers' section it certainly looks like this is moving forward. With that assumption being made by other members you now open yourself to a whole world of issues. You want this to be an idea, that's fine. However, you really cannot state that this thing is moving forward and ask for people to sign up as though it's going to happen soon.

I don't want you to stop posting your ideas, and you are correct I have no control over what you choose to put out there. Keep your ideas coming by all means. Just be careful with how you word things.

I agree with both sides... The chances of this happening are very very slim, but I appreciate ZACFAN411 for trying to make this happen. And who knows, maybe Kathryn will see it and approve it. Agtain I think it is a big stretch for a whole day, but maybe we give questions in advance so he can come on here and post them, and maybe take a few more questions for a few hours, more reasonable for him and Kathryn to set up. The way I see it is you can try all you want. It's just not going to happen. Zac is extremely busy. He simply cannot go online to talk to fans. He's a human being. Just because he's 'Zac Efron' doesn't mean he actually wants to come online to talk to a bunch of over-obsessed fans (no offense to anyone. just trying to make a point). As chris stated very clearly, it's just not gonna happen. Plain and simple. And don't try to organize this because no one said that this was in order. It's not up to the fans. I understand completely where you are coming from. There are a lot of things I want to do, but people tell me that it will never happen and it hurts. I support this idea wether or not it happens!!! I think that at the Zac Forum people should be able to post their dreams and I am not going to stand in your way of that. I propose a plan that is in NO way perfect, but please here me out.
-1st: I believe that this chat could only be opened to those within the Forum, and should be advertised within it as well. This it to try and keep it as secretive as possible.
-2nd: I regret to say this, but I think that even within the members of the forum, only a handful or more should be allowed to have this chat. This would help in not allowing random chaos, crashes, and pity arguments. As well it would help Zac to better connect to fans.
-Now concerning his schedule, I believe that depending on the time he can chat will better prepare for how many can be withing the chat. Lets say his chat is only for an hour, then either the handful will be allowed for that hour, or have 10 for 30 min. and 10 for the other 30 min. If it within the time span of 2 hours than add another 2 groups, or extended the 2 remaining groups times. Maybe the chats could be within the span of different days, which then we would have to separately address the schedule. Remember this is all based on if Zac said yes, and his own personal schedule.
-Now...concerning the handful of groups allowed...this is hard. One fan cant claim to be more of a fan than another. Trivia cant be done due to the internet and such. This is the part that can break the entire operation. It could be a type of contest, though of what I do not know. Maybe separate ones? The winner of each being one of the members within the group to chat? To what each challenge..again I have not thought of. The other way, is random selection.

This is all I have come up with. If more people were positive and we collaborated ideas, I know this can be possible. Thanks for reading this proposal, please add-on your own ideas.

Here is what I have learned from reading this thread. I have added some ideas as I went along to help us get this plan in to shape.

*Zac's a busy person, he can chat for only a set amount of time that fits into his schedule.

*Some way needed to control the fans entering and exiting the chat

*A set of rules for the chat. The number one rules are, respect Zac, respect others, and keep the chat clean when you speak. (fans on here don't want to see any cussing)

*There will be a cycle system for the fans. (10 go in, 10 go out, next 10 comes in.)

*Somebody will be a watcher, making sure all is well in the chat. (watching one chat group and then the next watcher comes in with the next group, set some people to the side for this job who can be trusted.)

*Maximum group size: 10 fans

*Time limits for fans: 15 minutes per group. If somebody wants to leave early, they can. A moderator will give a 2 minute warning to fans in the chatting group before switching. (A's chatting, A's get the warning, B cycles in at the end of A's chat.)

*A group must finish before cycling the next group in.

*Avoid crashing the site at all costs.

*Arrange who is in a group. A list is needed. I'll make a signup thread if we need it. "Zefron Chat Sign Up"

I think we've got it! The ten fans have individual colors, Zac is one color and one color alone. When we switch groups, we announce it and then clear the room. (Ex. Group A is leaving, Group B is entering.)
