I guess they're not that popular in the U.S...
They're there to eat, and you don't have to finish them at once.

I knew they were some type of cookie, there was no way it was a bag. but, i didnt know it was gingerbread. we have cookies like that though. Giving them personalized cookies sounds a lot better than cookie shaped bags/ LOL

I was just a little surprised that people thought they were bags, I didn't realize that they might be less known in other countries.
I have eaten one or two gingerbread hearts myself when I was young and you can find them at nearly every christmas market here in Austria.
