Life & Style Magazine is reporting that Zac is considering returning for HSM 4.. if hes given at least $8 to $10 million dollars for the flick. Personally, I think Zac has moved on and wouldnt even consider another one.. this one is Senior Year after all, and I’m sure its pretty final! But if you see the rumors out there, I thought I’d let you guys know whats up.
” ‘Zac is thinking in the $8 million to $10 million range but it depends on how the movie opens and how desperately they want him back,’ a source told the mag. That’s quite a pay raise, considering he’s pulling in $3 million for High School Musical 3, which is to set to his theaters nationwide this October.
Despite the fact that High School Musical 3 is about the gang’s senior year, Disney is still optimistic that they can get some of the major cast members to return. “Are we going to have all the cast back? Probably not,” Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross said back in April when the film was first announced. “Will we have some of them? I hope so.” It is conceivable that one more film could revolve around them. If the third movie ends with graduation, the fourth could focus on their last summer together before they go their separate ways. The fourth movie is currently in the writing stages.”

Life & Style magazine is actually worse than In Touch and Star magazine. They never get story right. Don't believe anything they claim.

If, and it's a big if, Zac appears in HSM4, it will be only a cameo. There's no way he can demand as much as 10 million dollars for such a small role.

I don't think he'll do it. He said in past interviews the 3rd is the last for him and his cast members. But i've heard there is a 4th in the talks, with a whole new cast. But don't take my word for it, i read it somewhere and it could be a rumuor :D

Since it is only a rumor, I would imagine that Disney is anxious to bring back the stars that made High School Musical what it was. They want to cash in on how popular it really was. Why stop now, when it's one of the biggest money makers they've had in awhile? I imagine as an actor, though, Zac will say no. I'd even be surprised if he made a cameo in the HSM 4 movie. Simply because, as a few other people have pointed it, it's time for all of them to move on. And I am sure Zac wants to be taken seriously in future acting roles, so agreeing to do HSM 4 probably wouldn't be a good thing for his career. Anyway, it's all just a rumor. And I guess we can't blame Disney for wanting to keep things going. But, I still don't think it's a good idea.

He is not just a pretty face, and watching MR the other day really made me see that he has got something special, even in HSM3 you can see a different side to Zac, he is truly wonderful in the film and his eyes are so expressive. 17 Again looks like a fantastic film, he is a very funny guy, you can see that coming out in HSM3 and I think we will get to see that even more in 17. I think doing 3 was a good end to their part in the franchise. It is so much better than the other two, they really stepped up their game, even the Times in the UK gave it 4 stars, and they don't give them away lightly. HSM is a light hearted family film and should be seen as such. Its not serious, Its harmless fun and though it is incredibly successful, it is what it is.

I heard that rumor too....i know most people don't agree but i do think it would be nice for him to pop in as a cameo...kind of keep the whole Troyella thing going....as for already doing senior year in hsm3, well remember HSM2 was set over summer vacation and there are a whole load of things Disney didn't show us...senior class trip for example and as surely they don't go right to college after graduation? Is there another vacation? I make these points not because i think Disney should make these movies but just to show that if they wanted to they could work around the whole graduation/senior year thing......I for one would like to see him again but i can understand why lots of others don't.....

As much as I love HSM, I really hope they don't over-egg it - Senior year was the perfect way to wrap up everybodies story whilst keeping hope for Troy and Gabrielle's relationship, Ryan and Sharpay's futures etc.

It was a neat, tidy way to end it with them graduating from High School. I think dragging it out any further would need a lot of cliched and questionable reasons to get them all back together story-wise.

I think if Zac is proud of what these film are and have achieved he'll leave them be as they currently stand neatly as a trilogy. I sincerely hope money doesn't overtake artistic and creative logic, though to be fair that is how Hollywood works.

I totally agree, i think they went abit far with hsm3 but that's my opinion. The plot and coreography was poor and i think enough is enough:cool:
