2. New layer. Paste in background 2. Set blending mode to Difference, 100%
3. New layer. Paste in background 3. Set blending mode to Multiply, 100%

5. New layer. Paste in background 5. Set blending mode to Lighten, 100%
6. New layer. Paste in the circles. Set blending mode to Normal, 10-15%
7. You should have your pictures picked out by this time. Cut them out in a rough style, like I did. You don't want them perfectly shaped out.
8. New layer. Paste your [cut-out] picture (picture 1)in about the middle of the canvas. Set blending mode to Color Burn, 100%. Drop shadow.
9. New layer. Paste another version of your picture (picture 2) to the left of the one you just pasted. Set the blending mode to Multiply, 100%. Drop shadow.

8. CITY AND COLOUR/DALLAS GREEN WALLPAPER
[ finished product (http://i38.tinypic.com/j5uqf8.jpg) ]
textures and brushes:
light background (http://i37.tinypic.com/nrgbp.jpg)
frame (http://i36.tinypic.com/5duy4y.png)
notepad (http://i35.tinypic.com/24xfdig.png)
flower (http://i38.tinypic.com/4hs77s.png)
smiley (http://i36.tinypic.com/5khtgj.png)
1. Set your canvas size to 800x600, as we usually do.
2. Paste in the light background. You can stretch/shrink it or leave it as is. Now, here is an important part - you now must decide if you would like to keep it the pink/purplish colour or change the color. In my opinion, the best way to change the colour is through the Color Filter.
3. Take two (or more) pictures and paste them in a new layer. It works best if they blend in together. Set blending mode to Additive or Screen, 20-30%.
4. Paste the frame into a new layer and resize it to your liking. I would also suggest changing the color of it to match your background, or main colour.
5. Paste your main picture in a new layer underneath the frame. Resize it and merge the two layers together. (my colouring for this picture is colouring #5 at summer skin (http://www.zefron.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4082723).) Drop shadow.
6. Make a new layer underneath your frame/picture layer. Paste in the notepad and drop shadow it. I suggest you colour it to match the rest of your scene.
7. New layer overtop of your notepad. Type in some text; lyrics, quotes, etc.
8. New layer. Paste in the flower and resize. Place it to the bottom right of the notepad and drop shadow.
9. Go back to the top of the layers and create a new one. Type in your text and drop shadow it.
10. New layer. Paste in one (or more) of the smileys and invert the color. I re-colored mine to match my text. Drop shadow.

7. Make your blend about 546x270. Paste it into the frame.
* I slightly colourized my blend to make it a tad more reddish to match everything else. Fill layer, FFC9C9, color burn 100%
8. New layer. Paste in the lines, and stretch them out so that they go over the frame. Drop shadow.
* Open the flower and use the Color Filter again, except bring the 'highlights preserved' all the way down. Delete the background.
9. New layer. Paste in the [coloured] flower and drop shadow.
10. Add any text desired (I used Pea Missy Cursive) and drop shadow.
10. JAMES BLUNT WALLPAPER
[ finished product (http://i37.tinypic.com/33mx0ee.jpg) ]
textures and brushes:
frame (http://i33.tinypic.com/2dv8oeh.png)
1. Okay, I have this HUGE picture of James which I used as a base, so find a huge picture of your person and set your canvas to 1000x800.
2. Paste the picture in and just sort of move it around in the canvas. Don't stretch/shrink it because then it looks distorted.
*My program gives me an option when I paste - Expand the canvas [don't] or keep the canvas the same size [bingo].
3. Duplicate your picture/background layer and make the top version black and white.
4. Erase the eyes [or whichever part you'd like to highlight] in the B&W version.
5. New layer. Paste in the frame and resize it so that it's smaller. Place it in a near-to-corner-but-not-quite-in-corner area.
6. Resize or find a smaller version of your big picture and paste it in the frame. Merge your frame/small picture layers together and drop shadow.
7. Add text (I used Pea Janelle).

grunge (http://i34.tinypic.com/etsbyv.jpg)
scratch (http://i33.tinypic.com/2jacns3.png)
1. Okay, so, either set a new canvas to 800x600 or open the "background" texture.
2. New layer. Paste in the circles and set the opacity level to 60-70%.
3. New layer. Paste in the stripes and flip it horizantally. Set the blending mode to Multiply, 100%.
4. New layer. Paste in the grunge and flip it horizantally. Set the blending mode to Multiply, 100%.
5. New layer. Paste in the scratch and set the blending mode to Difference, 100%.
6. New layer. Take a black and white version of your picture and make a white frame/border around it. Drop shadow.
7. New layer. Take the coloured version of your picture and resize it so that it's smaller than the b/w one. Move it around so that it's overlapping the b/w one. Make a white border around it and drop shadow.

3. Cut out your picture from its background and outline it in the color of your choice.
4. Copy and paste that into a new layer ontop of your mail background. Drop shadow.
5. Duplicate your picture layer, resize it smaller, and place it on top of the original.
6. Repeat step 5.
7. Make 3 icons, either from the same picture or the same photoshoot. Place the textures over them, and set them all to darken, 100%
8. Add text and other assorted goodies.
13. LINDSAY LOHAN WALLPAPER
[ finished product (http://i33.tinypic.com/2q3bsxh.jpg) ]
textures and brushes:
background pattern (http://i35.tinypic.com/2it0td.png) - alt. options: one (http://i34.tinypic.com/2nscn77.png) / two (http://i36.tinypic.com/2d0ia7m.png) / three (http://i33.tinypic.com/opr4b5.png)
mask (http://i37.tinypic.com/25a6zj5.png)
glittery stuff (http://i33.tinypic.com/2lbdmh3.png)
1. Okay, so as you can see, I started with an 800x600 canvas and/or the background pattern. I changed it a little bit from the original, which you can either do or not do.
2. New layer. Paste down your picture with either white backgrounds or cut it out. The one to the left I set to Multiply, 100%.
3. New layer. Paste either the same or a different picture in. I set the one to the right to Darken, 100%.
** feel free to add more pictures and play around with the opacities and blending modes.
4. Now, we add the (hopefully, resized) mask in a new layer. Set it to Multiply, 100% and adjust as needed.
5. Now add the glittery stuff in a new layer. Set it to Lighten, 15-25%. Erase the parts that are covering the pictures.
** if you know what a gradient is, use that here with black as your primary color and your secondary color transparent. If you don't, just stretch it out.
6. Make a bar using your background pattern and set it in a new layer. Add a drop shadow and text.
13. KATY PERRY BANNER
[ finished product (http://i37.tinypic.com/2ahsmf8.jpg) ]

rainbow (http://i38.tinypic.com/xm0kkp.png)
swirely purple thing (http://i35.tinypic.com/1zwzp1x.jpg)
1. Okay, so I set my canvas size to 500x250 and then made my blend.
2. New layer. Take the star texture and set it to Darken, 100%. Move it around as desired.
3. New layer. Paste in the rainbow texture and stretch as desire. Set it to Overlay, 100%.
4. New layer. Paste in the swirley purple texture and set to Lighten, 100%.
5. Duplicate your blend layer, and bring it to the top. Set it to Overlay, 100%.
6. Add text and other textures/brushes as desired.
14. HAYLEY WILLIAMS WALLPAPER
[ finished product (http://i41.tinypic.com/2u55k5u.jpg) ]
textures/brushes:
light (http://i42.tinypic.com/2u3z0jc.jpg)
grunge (http://i40.tinypic.com/11cefkz.jpg)
flower (http://i42.tinypic.com/2ue5pbr.png)
1. Set your canvas to 800 x 600. You should have about four pictures, that's what I used, unless you're planning to repeat/add more pictures. Whatever. Let your creativity flow. Colour all of your pictures now if you want to. I used #65 on Lauren's colouring thread (http://www.zefron.com/forum/showthread.php?t=73736).
2. Okay, so as you can see in the original (I like to have the original open in the background), there are two sort of background pictures, and then two that are in the front. We're going to work on the background ones. Flip your pictures if nessicary, and then put a gradient on the side that is going to face the middle. Make the gradient the colour of what your background is going to be (or have a white gradient if your pictures are light, black gradient if your pictures are dark).
*My pictures turned out a little bit too light, so I duplicated my picture base and set it to Soft Light before I flattened it. Multiply should work too.
3. Set those pictures on either sides of your wallpaper. They should be facing each other. Erase anything that looks abnormal
4. New layer. Take your third picture and cut it out. Put it in the middle of the two background pictures. Repeat this step to your fourth picture, but resize it so that it is small.
5. New layer. Paste in the light texture and move it around as you like. Set it to Lighten/Screen 100%.
6. New layer. Paste in the grunge texture and move it around as you like. Set it to Screen, 100%.
7. New layer. Resize the flower and paste it in. Add a drop shadow if you like.

2. New layer. Paste in background 2. Set blending mode to Difference, 100%
3. New layer. Paste in background 3. Set blending mode to Multiply, 100%

5. New layer. Paste in background 5. Set blending mode to Lighten, 100%
6. New layer. Paste in the circles. Set blending mode to Normal, 10-15%
7. You should have your pictures picked out by this time. Cut them out in a rough style, like I did. You don't want them perfectly shaped out.
8. New layer. Paste your [cut-out] picture (picture 1)in about the middle of the canvas. Set blending mode to Color Burn, 100%. Drop shadow.
9. New layer. Paste another version of your picture (picture 2) to the left of the one you just pasted. Set the blending mode to Multiply, 100%. Drop shadow.
10. New layer. Paste another version of your picture (picture 3)to the very left. Set blending mode to Overlay, 100%. Drop shadow.
11. Cut out another picture, from the same photoshoot looks best, but keep a few rough edges around this too. I used the Magic Wand tool, I think it looks best, but eraser should be fine too. Erase any pointed edges.
12. Paste that picture (picture 4) into a new layer. Set blending mode to Normal or Glow, 100%. Drop shadow.

8. CITY AND COLOUR/DALLAS GREEN WALLPAPER

flower (http://i38.tinypic.com/4hs77s.png)
smiley (http://i36.tinypic.com/5khtgj.png)

8. Add text or any other brushes/textures/pictures you may like.
