No you didn't say it directly but you talked about saving him. And the intial word "saving" illustrates that someone is in trouble. You have to be very careful how you word things. And not to cause an argument but if you view it as non exclusive that is your buisness but it's not very inviting when the first thing you see someone say is 'we have to save Zac because he's not a Christian"..that implies that people that view things differently from you are wrong. Not a welcome invitation.

It's alright lovee. I think you learned a valuable lesson in the power of words. They honestly are like a religion of their own and subject to many different interpretations. You missed how – once again – Christians are shot down.
I’m tired of it. Just because we’re Christians doesn’t mean we go around forcing our beliefs on anyone.
Here’s my opinion – this is a thread for God.
There are various other threads for other celebrities, t.v. shows, etc.
Sure – not everyone is a Christian, but not EVERYONE likes Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, etc. Does that mean they are not allowed to post on those threads – NO.
This thread is just as ‘exclusive’ as any other celebrity thread.
It was in NO way meant to disrespect or offend anyone. If you are THAT offended by my Christianity, simply don’t open the thread. Maybe I feel totally disrespected whenever someone cusses on the forum. Putting a little ‘x’ between the word does not make it any better. How often do people show respect for Christians these days? Barely ever.
This was supposed to be a thread where I could meet other Christians and discuss various Christian things with them, as the ‘Ashley’ threads are places where people who like Ashley can get together.
This is a place for people who love God.
HOWEVER – it is not intended to exclude ANYONE, regardless of religion, belief, etc. Because as I stated in the first post – ANYONE is welcome. Come here, post your opinion, fine. But then don’t turn around and tell me that I’m judging people and excluding them, when you’re the one bashing the thread to begin with.
SO – in conclusion, I am truly sorry for the disrespectful comments about Zac and/or the fellow zefroners, for that was in no way EVER intended. I will try to monitor the thread more closely and correct anyone that says anything that in anyway degrades or disrespects ANYONE.
And I suppose – as sad as it is – if this thread truly offends THAT many people, I will delete it. Just remember that EVERYONE is entitled to their own opinion, and freedom of religion, and that was my opinion.

Kaotic Love - Friend had a baby 4 months premature and he is only 640g (1.41lbs) and is in a critical but stable condition. If he survives there's a 80% chance he'll be brain damaged. :-(
also - Has a friend whos mom is dying of cancer. :-( Please keep them both in your prayers. **UPDATE** Friends baby passed away :-( So please keep the mom and friends and family in your prayers even more.

*Remember to keep Kathryn [Zefron creator] and her family in our prayers. I'm sure they are going through a hard time right now, and I can't even imagine what it would be like!

I am like other people I am a Christian but I dont read the Bible nearly as often as I should. I did but when I got my new computer its like I just stopped for some reason and I know it really bad of me.

There are MANY things that have gone wrong in my life that I'm not quite sure of the reason that they have happened yet. I am still a good person and still believe in God and his power, but sometimes I still just wonder why. I know theres a reason I just wish I knew it. :-(

You should start a prayer list.
Everyone needs prayers whether they ask for it or not. Sometimes I think the people that dont ask for the prayers are the ones that need it the most. But everynight I pray for all my fellow Zefron buddies. Pray to keep you all safe and strong...hehe

I agree with what one said about how people can make these celebrity threads specifically for that celebrity but we arent allowed to have one for God? Or am I misunderstanding it? Government has taken God out of everything else, why not take it off the internet *rolls eyes* They will probably do that next........*rolls eyes again* LOLOL :-)

As one of the adults here, The reason you feel you are being thought about this way is because this is one of those topics that is VERY PERSONAL in some peoples lives.

It has nothing to do with being a CELEBRITY. It has to do with a belief system of a totaly different aspect of life. You cannot compare the two. They are very different. I'm not putting you down in the least, but everyone has a different view and yes there are many EXCLUSIVE topics, but this is about PEOPLES FAITHS. Maybe you should have put as a generic titie the different types of FAITHS AND LEARNED FROM ON ANOTHER. I have to say, It's like being a POLITICIAN, there is a lot of critcism when you are an adult when voting and it gets very nasty.

It's a suggestion that next time, maybe put a Generic topic like what is your Faith instead of One Faith. There is a broad of Faiths and people from different countries. The other reason I'm saying this is because I changed my faith and reading this can cause ALOT OF DISTURBANCE THAT YOU ARE NOW REALIZING. ;) I went from one faith to another, so I don't make a huge fuss, but I see that it can cause problems. When you become an adult, you will understand. YOu learn something new everyday. Don't be too rough on yourself. It's all a leanrning process. Everybody learns, I'm still learning too. Try being an adult, it's pretty hard. ;)

Here’s my opinion – this is a thread for God.
There are various other threads for other celebrities, t.v. shows, etc.
Sure – not everyone is a Christian, but not EVERYONE likes Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, etc. Does that mean they are not allowed to post on those threads – NO.
This thread is just as ‘exclusive’ as any other celebrity thread.
It was in NO way meant to disrespect or offend anyone. If you are THAT offended by my Christianity, simply don’t open the thread. Maybe I feel totally disrespected whenever someone cusses on the forum. Putting a little ‘x’ between the word does not make it any better. How often do people show respect for Christians these days? Barely ever.

No we actually aren't against gays but it is against the bible and what I personally believe. I have so many gay friends and I love them all and they are some of the only guys I can go to talk about real issues in my life and they will actually understand. I don't have issues in the least on a personal level but religously I am sorry that they are not following the bible if they say they are christian. It's hard for me because it is supposed to be a part of what I believe to be wrong but at the same time I figure that it isn't hurting me any and who am I to try to tell someone that so I just accept everyone no matter their sexual preference.

As one of the adults here, The reason you feel you are being thought about this way is because this is one of those topics that is VERY PERSONAL in some peoples lives.

It has nothing to do with being a CELEBRITY. It has to do with a belief system of a totaly different aspect of life. You cannot compare the two. They are very different. I'm not putting you down in the least, but everyone has a different view and yes there are many EXCLUSIVE topics, but this is about PEOPLES FAITHS. Maybe you should have put as a generic titie the different types of FAITHS AND LEARNED FROM ON ANOTHER. I have to say, It's like being a POLITICIAN, there is a lot of critcism when you are an adult when voting and it gets very nasty.

It's a suggestion that next time, maybe put a Generic topic like what is your Faith instead of One Faith. There is a broad of Faiths and people from different countries. The other reason I'm saying this is because I changed my faith and reading this can cause ALOT OF DISTURBANCE THAT YOU ARE NOW REALIZING. ;) I went from one faith to another, so I don't make a huge fuss, but I see that it can cause problems. When you become an adult, you will understand. YOu learn something new everyday. Don't be too rough on yourself. It's all a leanrning process. Everybody learns, I'm still learning too. Try being an adult, it's pretty hard. ;)

If someone is willing to go into a thread where people are having a discussion of their faith and start trash talking them then they are not only an embaressment to their religion and what they stand for but also to people in general. I personally don't and wouldn't want to learn about other religions cause I already did that sort of thing in my church a few years back and I not only felt stronger in my beliefs but felt kinda sorry for other people who believe differently and I really don't want to get all religiously uptight on here. So if this is that big of an issue for this site then people just shouldn't view the threads simple as that. I don't know what your personal beliefs on this are and I don't mind whatever it is but...God is already being taken out of so many other things that this world really is become a sad sad place and it would be nice for other people to just respect christians and let us be like we have to them.

I love some old school POG and some old school CLAY CROSSE....lolol I have an old Jars of Clay cd hahaha I have POG on my iPod. :-) Me and some friends used to sing POG in church, until they banned me beacuse I got sick and missed alot of church *rolls eyes* some nice Godly people.........OK I WONT GET INTO THAT......lol

I don't have a problem with the thread, but Religion to some people, can be personal. I went from being Jewish to being Catholic. I have no problems with any of this. I was answering a question that was made a statement, that's all. Sometimes people can read my thoughts the wrong way, that is all there is to it.

I hope everyone enjoys this thread. It's good for people to put their views and beliefs down. It's actually a very good thing. So I am sorry if you read what I put down the wrong way. I don't bash people and don't disrespect people. I am one that if I don't have something nice to say, I don't say it. Everyone has their belief and that is good.

My belief is Everyone is a good person and I don't put anyone down. I respect all until people disrespect me and the people I love, then I put my 2 cents in. I am very religious, but I am very to myself about my religion. I am Catholic now, but I was Jewish, but I will always be a person. Religion doesn't make me who I am. I just have a faith I look to for Guidance. Does that make sense to you?

In my opinion I actually think that this thread is ok to have just for christians and why not let other people who are buddist, islam, atheist, jewish, etc feel free to have a thread for themselves too. If someone is willing to go into a thread where people are having a discussion of their faith and start trash talking them then they are not only an embaressment to their religion and what they stand for but also to people in general. I personally don't and wouldn't want to learn about other religions cause I already did that sort of thing in my church a few years back and I not only felt stronger in my beliefs but felt kinda sorry for other people who believe differently and I really don't want to get all religiously uptight on here. So if this is that big of an issue for this site then people just shouldn't view the threads simple as that. I don't know what your personal beliefs on this are and I don't mind whatever it is but...God is already being taken out of so many other things that this world really is become a sad sad place and it would be nice for other people to just respect christians and let us be like we have to them.

yah.. well.. my story of that is cuz.. well.. a couple years ago i started sorta drifting away from my faith.. then this summer.. i went to this camp... with themost AMAZING youth pastor.. like.. he wus one of those ppl that like.. every morning.. his message just happended to be EXACTLY wut you needed to hear!! ... and i rele started getting closer to God again.. and of course... the change didnt happen AUTOMATICALLY.. but.. gradually.. im just taking the steps day by day and working @ it... ya know??? .. and for sum reason b4 the summer. everytime sumone would ask me wut i wanted to be or when i would think about it... i would always say photographer.. but sumthing in the back of my mind would say pastor... probly cuz my dad would always joke around and say.. "oh ur gunna be a pastor just like me and ur grandfather and ur aunt..." and of course in my mind i would say... "ew.." ... cuz at that point in time it RELE wasnt sumthing i wus interested in... then.. after i went to that week of camp i realized.. heyy.. ya know wut.. this rele could be sumthing i'd be interested in. :D ...

oh my goodness... i'll SO keep you in MY prayers katie!! .. thats an amazing story!! .... i wus saved when i was only 4 .. my family is TOTALLY musical.. and my dad used to travel every easter and sing in a Cantata that this one church that we've since pastor-ed at would always put on.. and when i wus four.. my dad took me with him .. and @ the end of the play Pastor Dan ((the pastor of that church)) asked if anyonme would like to be saved to put their hand up while we were playing and i did! .. lol i wus happy and ran up and told my dad and everything.. :D .. in a way.. i'm SO grateful to be saved so young.. but it wus also hard.. bcuz i wasnt old enough to TRUTHFULLY understand what hardships i'd been saved from.. and it took a hit me hard in my early teens when i started realizing i still had a LOT to go through.

Well I was not raised in a christian family. Which I think in some ways helped me and was against me. I had a few very christian friends though, very religious church every Sunday, & Wed, Prayer meetings Bible studies........(thats another thing I think we should start is a bible study...that would be AWESOME) anyway, I started going to church with these friends and I really liked it. We were pentecostal and it was full of spirit every week. Tons of singing and running around the church I loved it. Me and some friends would sing our POG songs every sunday and it was so much fun. When I was 15 I came down with Kidney disease and Siezure disorder. I was staying home alot cuz I was always weak and didnt feel like going anywhere. I even had half school days and homeschooled at night for the first part of my day because I would just sit in class and space out. It was totally worthless for me to go to school. Anyway maybe about after a month of missing church I went up there one day cuz I was going to practice with the group and the pastors wife was like........could you step off the stage so the girls can practice i was like WHAT? lol And we were going to go on this trip (the youth) after I had come down with my seizures and they told me I couldnt go because they were afraid of what MIGHT happen......and mind you there were THREE NURSES going on this trip. I was all fine, whatever..........

So after all that happened I kinda stopped going to church because.......well I thought that those people were going to be in every church and I didnt want to have to go through that again.

Anyway, so I moved here, and one day my neighbor (who was in a fight with another girl down the street) asked me to walk to church with her beacuse she didnt want to walk by herself. Anyway so I walked down there with her and I decided to stay. And from that point on I been going to this church and everyone has been great. Its kind of a small church and there isnt a whole lot of youth and the youth isnt as into God as I would like because they are kinda young and still in that "I really dont wanna be here but my parents made me come" kind of stage.....And thats why I would like to be a Youth Leader cuz Id really like to get them interested in God in a fun way, ya know?

Anyway, the youth is very active and has many trips that they go on and they have not once told me I cant come because of my problems.

In a way I think my neighbor asking me to walk up to the church with her was Gods goofy lil sense of humor in getting me back to church because if she hadnt asked me to walk with her I never woulda started going to that church and I'm thankful for that ive made many friends that I can turn to if I need to. :-)

That was SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER long but I hope you guys read it.
And I am totally serious about the Bible study thing, that would so rock!!!

BTW: my dad was an alcoholic my whole life, i cant remember a time he didnt have a drink in his hand and he died 4 days before my 16th birthday from many years of alcohol poisoning. ONE reason I dont drink. And my sister is an alcoholic (when my parents split she went to live with my dad and i stayed with my mom which i am THANKFUL for......) and I pray for patience constant with my sister cuz we are at odds 75% of the time and I just wanna smack her LOL But i hold back and most of the time just dont say anything cuz i know its wrong........

if i never went to that camp, i would not know God. like i would know of Him, but i would not personally know Him. and i'm not really sure if i would be saved. Thank God I went there, though. =)

k so i'm gonna say my testimony =)

i was raised Catholic. i thought you got to Heaven by being good, so i wanted to be a good person. As for God and Church, though, i thought it was boring. when i prayed at night and said "i love You, God," i would feel bad because i didn't think i really meant it. and i didn't at that time. then my friend asked me to go to a summer camp with her and my life changed. i was only 10 or 11, but when i heard the pastor preach the salvation message, i was amazed. i could not believe that Jesus did that for me. i'd heard "Jesus died for you" before, but it never clicked. i was saved that week and from then on, i've def. been different on the inside. the next year at camp, though, i forgot a lot of stuff that i learned. i even pretty much forgot what being saved meant! so that week at camp i recommitted myself to Christ and i've been reading my Bible pretty consistently everday ever since that summer. obviously, i miss some days, but i'm good for the most part. i've been back to lake ann 6 times and each year, i come back on fire for God and it changes me every time! i just thank God that He chose me. that's something that i think is sooooo cool. it would have been soooo easy for me to have never met the friend that asked me to go to Lake Ann. but God wanted me to know Him at such a young age and i'm sooooo thankful for that. young people can be used by God and i don't want to waste the time that i'm young. I kinda have a problem with really being bold about my faith. i need to live it more out loud, so that's what i'm trying to do. i also feel that God has called me into music at this point. i like doing a lot of things, but singing is the main thing that i LOVE.

I've been at church at our variety show thing, where i had to sing, and btw i murdered the song. :\ but it's okay because right after it me and my friend acted out this one piece and that's what i love doing, so i think the congregation forgot about the song murdering. :]

I just want to thank you all SO much for posting on here. I've had a lot of fun meeting other Christians and sharing faith stories and such. And also - thank you to everyone that shared a faith story, i read ALL of them, and they are all wonderful! You might not know it - but each faith story will help someone else out in their walk with God. They sure help me! :]

i'm so sorry! i hate when churches exclude families like that! if you like catholic chruch, then you should continue to go to it! you know, i don't think it matters what church you go to or even if you go at all, what matters is your relationship with God. He knows your heart. I do however, think God enjoys watching christians gather together, so church is a very good thing, and can help you. I think if you enjoyed the catholic one, you should keep going! and good luck! i'll pray for you though!

finding a good church is hard to do. one you just really really love. unfortunately i dont have the ability to do that. i have to go to the church that is just right up the road from me. dont get me wrong i the people in this church are fantastic and they are very sweet people, but its just not........an "UP" church lolol its very quiet.

I was raised going to church every week, and have my kids involved now. I am serving on the "steering team" (aka committee) of a christian based Mom group that meets monthly. I love it!

I have a few things going on in my life at the same time that is really testing my faith. I love the poem "Footprints", but lately I'm not feeling it. I question the saying "God won't give you more than you can handle" as I'm currently wondering if I have gotten lost somewhere.

OK .... I'll just say that for those that do pray ... please keep my unspoken prayer in your mind. One of them is having something major go on Tuesday. I know it's cryptic ... but I can't explain.

So sadly i don't go to church anymore. i used to but not anymore. the church i attened was "clicky" and no one really ever talked to my family and i. i went to another church....but i can't seem to find one i enjoy. i am lutheran and i've been to a catholic church before and loved it. its not that different from lutheran. but idk. i thought i'd post that.

I don't have a problem with the thread, but Religion to some people, can be personal. I went from being Jewish to being Catholic. I have no problems with any of this. I was answering a question that was made a statement, that's all. Sometimes people can read my thoughts the wrong way, that is all there is to it.

I hope everyone enjoys this thread. It's good for people to put their views and beliefs down. It's actually a very good thing. So I am sorry if you read what I put down the wrong way. I don't bash people and don't disrespect people. I am one that if I don't have something nice to say, I don't say it. Everyone has their belief and that is good.

My belief is Everyone is a good person and I don't put anyone down. I respect all until people disrespect me and the people I love, then I put my 2 cents in. I am very religious, but I am very to myself about my religion. I am Catholic now, but I was Jewish, but I will always be a person. Religion doesn't make me who I am. I just have a faith I look to for Guidance. Does that make sense to you?

Understood, It's ok, It's good to get thoughts out in the open. Church is very good for me, when I have missed church, a part of me feels empty. Like this week, not feeling well didn't help, but I leave little signs in my house that GOD IS THERE AND WILL STAND BY ME.. It's up to me to believe in myself and know he is there to help. GOD IS ALWAYS THERE TO PROTECT US . And I firmly believe that he is there to guide us. :D

hey, i was wondering if any of you guys did CEF (Childen Evangelism Fellowship) before.
i did this over the summer and for a week and we got trained how to teach a 5-day club
it's where we teach a bible story, sing songs, play games, and tell a missionary story to kids.
doing this is pretty fun cuz you get to interact with kids and teach them about God's love.
and some of the kids can be so adorable (:

LOL There is a huge difference between testifying and telling someone about God and preaching to them and getting on their nerves. You can take it way to far. When I see or hear someone getting bored or annoyed im like ok........lol I would never sit down and push my beliefs on someone. I will tell you my beliefs but im not gonna try and make you turn yours to mine. Ya know what I mean? If you dont want to hear just politely tell them say hey, i respect your beliefts but i really dont want to hear it all......or something like that. well i was raised Catholic, but the reason that i even care about my faith is
because of a Baptist camp i went to. i LOVE my friend's church so much (she's Baptist)
and i don't really like my church (Catholic). i always go to church with her, but it's really annoying
not knowing what church i want to go to. i really want to get involved in a church, but it's hard now knowing where i want to go. i honestly jus want to go to my friend's church, but it's just that there are a few differences in beliefs between Catholics and Baptists that i'm confused about
anyone know anything about that?

That is a tough one, wanting to go to one church cuz you like it, but not wanting to go because of the belief differences. I cant help you out, all I can say is to pray about it. And pray for what is the best situation for you. :-)

I dont have a favorite verse, beacuse sadly I dont read the bible as much as I should. But like I said before I dont ever find those kind of verses in the bible. LOL Those are both very good verses and I love them. Do you just flip through and find them or do you find them by actually going in and reading???

my family is catholic, and my brother has been invited to a baptist church before with his friend
but my dad doesnt want him to go because of the different beliefs.
personally, i love being catholic, but i guess you should just do what ecsdavis said...

we are going through tough times.
so i dont go every week but my dad educates me about it at least once every day.

everyday for every day of the year.
we pray before meals, and before we go to sleep. ( & throughout the day by our selves)

LOL I hate that too. When I wasnt going to church there for a while people were always like you REALLY need to get back into church. Like just because I'm not going to church I'm not having a relationship with God. People have no right to judge you and how your relationship is with God because they don't know. I know a TON of people that go to church every sunday, relgiously, but when they arent in church youd NEVER know it. People just go to chuch to put on a front to make people think they are christians and it ANNOYS ME. Like "oh yeah i murdered someone yesterday......but as long as i go to church Sunday ill be fine" *rolls eyes* its so aggrivating. I just wanna smack em LOL
