This is for all the fans of Zac who are over 21 and want to get away from the "youngsters" for a minute and chat about Zac with older fans your age. If you would like, post your name, age, and how you first started liking Zac. Feel free to post on here if you're under 21, but it's mostly for 21 and older. It's not like drinking or anything, where you have to be 21! :p

P.S. If there is already a thread like this, please let me know and post the link. I am new to the forum, so I haven't done a lot of looking around. Thanks!

I'm Jessica, 23 (24 on October 24th!!!!!), and I liked Zac when I first saw him on Summerland, but didn't become obsessive crazy about him until this summer with Hairspray and HSM 2 coming out!

NOPE ... I know of at least 3 others ........ me and my 2 girls. Our theater SUCKS and they haven't even had it in yet. When I called them at the beginning of the week (to see if it would come this weekend) they said they don't know if they ever will get it. UGH! I'm debating a road trip the the next closest theater, but it's an hour away. I live in the middle of NOWHERE!

Ah, I'm just shy of the age limit. I just turned 20 about 2 and a half months ago.

And Belle, the hour drive there is so totally worth it. I drove about 45 minutes to go see it, twice. So total I guess that's 3 hours driving time? And I'm going in again later this week. I'm such a geek and a sucker for musicals. I'm sure you've heard this about a million and 6 times but it truly is an amazing movie.

I'm Christy, I'm 23, and I fell for Zac when I saw High School Musical sometime last summer--you really can't beat a triple threat like him! I've always had a soft spot for dark-haired blue-eyed guys who can sing and dance. However, I think seeing him in Hairspray made me become a complete TEENYBOPPER all over again--he makes me feel like I'm 14 and he's JC Chasez from *NSYNC or something. :)

Teenybopper to the point where I've seen Hairspray 8 times now. I think it's a mental condition at this point. :)

Well...I'm only 16 but I'll post here anyways lol. People say I act older so that's good I guess. I have my story that I always tell whenever someone asks how I first became a fan. I was watching Summerland and was basically watching it for Jesse and then I saw Kay with this guest star who seemed kinda dorky but sweet as his character and he had this voice that was changing so it went high a low. I was watching it with my sister and I'm like "OMG look at that little boy he looks sweet!" My sister secretly thought he was cute even though at the time she was 7 or 8. I was like "Wow with his little gap in his teeth he reminds me of a weesel. I think I'll call him weesel boy!" My sister and I awwed over this little "Weesel Boy" and we later realized that he was 16 and I was like 13 or 14. I guess he wasn't so young lol. He continued on the show for the remaining of the seasons and by the end I was like, "U know this kid's pretty cute." And that was the end of my "Weesel" time. A few months later I was watching Disney Channel and my sister is like "That's that kid from Summerland!" I of course didn't believe her cause well Zac looked so different. I immediately melted into a puddle and found this site claiming I would make it a life goal to meet Zac and have him be like "Wow ur a really cool person let's get married!" Haha not really but it would be nice to meet him. Ok enough of my stories u people probably don't care lol.

"Weasel Boy" That's so cute! The very first time I saw him was on Summerland as well and I just thought he was so adorable. He was this dorky, but cute kid with a gap in his teeth, but still looked so adorable and I just fell for Cameron. I watched the rest of Summerland because of him. Jesse and Lori (the main reason I started watching it) were forgotten. Then, Summerland ended and I forgot all about Zac until I think I was watching a promo or saw something about HSM and saw Zac and was like, "That's the kid from Summerland!" Even though he did look a little bit different, I knew it was him! I wanted to watch HSM anyways, not just because of him, but because I'm a huge Disney fan in general and love musicals, and after I saw it I just loved it. I continued on living my normal, college life, then I found out Zac was gonna be in Hairspray and there was going to be a HSM 2, so I started finding info about all of that and through that and def after seeing Hairspray, I have fallen completely head over heels for this man! Well, not really since he's just an actor and only 19, but you get what I mean! hehe OK, there's my story! I'm obsessed now, but proud of it! :D

I now remember finding Summerland one night while flipping channels. It was a time that was focused on the teens, and I didn't know what was going on .... so I "blew it off" as a teen soap opera. I could have watched Zac that night and never gave him a second thought. LOL! After finding this site and 'researching' Zac I watched clips of Summerland on YouTube. I now wish I would have watched it because I think I would have been hooked!

I remember when that first came on the air i watched it just because Lori Laughlin (sp?) was in it and i loved her on full house (haha that was my show back in the day). I thought Jesse was cute too so that helped. But i never even payed any attention to Zac on the show.

Then up until like 3 months ago Summerland was coming on some channel here at like 3 in the morning so i Tivo'd it and finally got to see him on it. It was a pretty good show too, its a shame it was cancelled.

Full House was my show "back in the day" too! That's one reason I wanted to watch Summerland was b/c of Lori, but like I said, when I saw Zac as Cameron, his character just sucked me in and I wanted to know more about this guy. Cameron, I mean, but then when the show ended, I didn't give Zac a second thought. Although, when he wasn't in the series finale of the show, I almost threw a fit! I don't get the channel that it repeats on occasionally. One night I went to my Moms house and watched a few episodes of it. It was really good! When I saw the full episodes of Signs and Safe House .... I was in tears! I know some people that were abused and he played it soooooooooooooo well.

Those were some great episodes! I just wanted to give him a big hug and tell him everything was going to be OK! I wish they would release Summerland on DVD. I would watch them everyday! Or at least the Zac parts anyway! :p

During Signs when he's being really distant from Nikki it's hard knowing what's coming because you understand why he's acting so strange. It does make you want to give Cameron a hug and help protect him too. I wish they would have given that story more closure .... what happens when Dad returned from rehab ... etc.

I feel like I need to bring this thread back. I'm needing some older folks out there to talk to! Is there anyone else out there who can defend Bet On It with me. These little 'uns are so critical of that part in the movie, but I found it to be so calm and peaceful and Gene Kelly-esque. I just thought that maybe some of the older ones could understand where I'm coming from!

munchkinxfairy

Gene Kelly.
Singing in the Rain, Gene Kelly.
I'm sorry but Gene Kelly owns Bet On It.
I may only be fifteen, but I can tell the difference between a good performance, and a bad one.
Not to say that Zac was 'bad', per se, it's just the choreography (if they even bothered to, that is...they probably just told him to prance about) was incredibly cheesy and I can't help but cringe when I see it.
Gene Kelly in Singing in the Rain is something that's so classic and well known, and I don't think Bet On It will ever live up to it.

Yaaaaay the 21+ thread is back! :)

I'll be honest, I cringed when I watched Bet On It. I definitely love Gene Kelly in Singin' in the Rain. But I felt like Bet On It came out of left field for Troy, and I had a hard time feeling like Troy would actually run around a golf course doing that (based on what I knew about Troy's character). I also felt that Bet On It seemed forced, unnatural, overly choreographed. In comparison, when Don danced it looked like every move he made really was what he was feeling.

I think that has less to do with Zac's performance, and more with Kenny Ortega's choreography. The hands pushing outwards during the lyric "pushed away the ones you should have held close" and the spinning around during the lyric "turn my life around".......far too literal for my taste.

Belle
09-24-2007, 09:03 PM
Belle, can u let me in the fanfic section thingie lol
No ... Lex, Kathryn and Bruce are the only ones that can do that.

I love Bet on It. The only thing that I had a problem with was the very last of it when he was running and randomly spinning at the very end. I loved the image in the water.

munchkinxfairy
09-24-2007, 09:05 PM
^ the image in the water was so incredibly Lion King.
It looked really weird, because I think they edited it in and tried to distort so it looked like it was a reflection, but it just ended up looking strange.

Hi, I'm Linda and I'm 24 years old. The first time I saw Zac was in High School Musical. I liked his character, and his appearance off course, and so I went looking for more material of him. Saw Summerland, The Derby Stallion and most of his quest roles, so yes, I was quite hooked. And I also feld like a teenybopper, I sometimes went crazy when I just the HSM-DVD for sale in the stores. My friends thought I went crazy. I even felt like that myself, sometimes I was thinking, why do I like this guy so much, he is much younger? And after he told us he had a girlfriend (I didn't like that he lied about that, if you have to lie, than do it about something that will not become public, instead about something that will come out in the open, no matter what you try) I really had that feeling. But luckely it wear off and I just like to see him act, I can't wait for Seventeen and especially Footloose.

I have seen Hairspray as well (not in the cinema, but downloaded a version), but I still want to see it on the big screen. I also have that the cinema is like 1.5 hours travelling, so I'm not really in the mood for that, especially because I have to work during the day and don't want to go too far away in the evening because the next morning goes my alarmclock again. But I read that the DVD will be out in November in the USA, so I hope I don't have to wait too long (here in the Netherlands).

I read some of the comments of Bet on it, and I must say, I like the song, hate the choreography. It looked very unnatural and very NOT-Troy-like. And his reflection..., almost hard to recognice Troy in it. So no, it was not Gene Kelly style.

Hi, my name is Nicole and I am 35. This is my first post to the Forum. I honestly felt a little strange about posting before since I am older, but with the start of this thread I saw that there are people closer to my age out there. I had never heard of High School Musical or Zac Efron (probably a testimony to my age. Lol) until Hairspray came out. I was a big fan of the original Hairspray movie with Ricki Lake back in the 80’s and I was excited when I saw that two of my favorite actors, John Travolta and Amanda Bynes, were going to be in the new release. I was impressed by the charm and appeal, as well as singing voice of Zac in the movie so I went on the Internet to research more about him. I watched episodes of Summerland and . . . wow. . I was amazed at that talent he displayed in the dramatic scenes at such a young age. So I decided to buy High School Musical and by this time High School Musical 2 was about to premiere. I was amazed at the inspiration the performance of Zac Efron gave to me. He reminded me of the fun and joy that singing in my High School productions used to bring to me. He made me remember dreams I had once forgotten. I found it hard to believe that someone a generation younger than me could inspire me so much, but my boyfriend told me that inspiration does not come along everyday and when it does you have to follow it. So I did and the result is that I am now a Semi Finalist in an International Poetry Contest, and I am working on a couple of songs to submit to a critiquing publishing company. It is only a small step on the path to my dreams but I am really excited. I think it is great that someone Zac’s age can inspire people of all ages and the fact that he stays true to himself and keeps his private life separate from his work, which is rare among the youth of Hollywood today, makes him that much more appealing. This story is probably much longer than a post should be but thank you for creating this thread and encouraging older people to chat. Thank you also to the entire staff of Zefron.com for creating a site that respects the private lives of actors and encourages people to focus on their work achievements and the joy that their performances bring to our lives.

Welcome to Zefron, Nicole! There are several of us that are older than the "average" age for Zac fans. If you look at interviews, his fans are only in the "tween" age. I think Hairspray really expanded his fan base!! So ... you may feel strange, but just remember ........ YOU'RE NOT ALONE!! ;)

Congrats and GOOD LUCK on your Poetry!! Let us know how you do. You should also share some on here.

Welcome to all the "newbies" and I hope that we can keep this thread going strong for anytime we need a few minutes of relief from the teeny boppers! lol I shouldn't be talking though because I do act like a teeny bopper when it comes to Zac, but everything Nicole said is so true. I just wanted to say that I like your signature phrases. I am having a hard time supporting V during this whole thing. I mean, she's still only a teenager and it would suck if her life and career ended because of this, but I can't support someone who would do something like she did. I support Zac in supporting her, I suppose, but I'm still kinda iffy about whether I should support V or not. Your sig was comforting and knowing that I might not be the only one out there who actually doesn't support V during this. Would you mind if I copy and pasted that into my signature? Thanks! I don't follow what Vanessa is doing (I don't find her that interesting, she hasn't performed much lately and besides that, I don't really like what I see, Zac is much better looking ;) ), so my question is... did she do something wrong or is it just that you don't like her? Or is she just not interesting enough?

I know exactly what you mean. Some days I wish I could take a break from being an adult. Usually when I am at work. ( funny I am at work now and I have spent more time reading the posts than working. . .nice break! ). Lucky for me though my 17 year old niece and I like all the same stuff so I can always borrow her for a shoppin trip or to go see a "chick" flick and have fun. We just saw Sydney White and it was great! Of course my boyfriend is also 7 years younger than me so that helps me feel young;)

Just remember Belle that hiding behind every dark cloud is a beam of sunlight just waiting to break its way through. So never let the clouds get you down because something special is waiting just behind them:-)

I support Zac in supporting her, I suppose, but I'm still kinda iffy about whether I should support V or not. Your sig was comforting and knowing that I might not be the only one out there who actually doesn't support V during this. Would you mind if I copy and pasted that into my signature? Thanks! I do support Ashley, though! She is great and I love how she's so close to our age! OK, just wanted to let you know that tad bit of useless information! lol

No problem, sweetie. I don't mind if you copy and paste it into your siggy. :)

I don't follow what Vanessa is doing (I don't find her that interesting, she hasn't performed much lately and besides that, I don't really like what I see, Zac is much better looking ;) ), so my question is... did she do something wrong or is it just that you don't like her? Or is she just not interesting enough?

A little bit of both. There's that whole nude photo scandel thing and I could care less about her. I mean, she's cute in some ways, but I prefer Ashley a lot more. not just in looks, but talent as well. I was listening to some of V's album and I almost couldn't stand listening to the songs. I only like Say OK because it makes me think of Zac in the video. :p Whereas Ashley I think is a better singer, but that's just me. Anyway, I hope I answered your question!

Just remember Belle that hiding behind every dark cloud is a beam of sunlight just waiting to break its way through. So never let the clouds get you down because something special is waiting just behind them:-)

I keep telling myself that things happen for a reason .... I just can't figure out why.

I'm counting the days until I get my van fixed. It goes to the "doctor" on Monday, and is expected to take 5 days. It's depressing sitting in my garage and even more depressing to me if I drive it. I find it extremely ironic that tonight's Grey's Anatomy involved a story about a deer vs car accident. THAT deer was better off than the one that my van hit though.

Other issues in my life just need a lot of prayer.

Thanks guys. Without going into details, it's a bunch of issues. One of them being the "reverse role" that some kids end up having with their parents. I am now in a role of caregiver for my Mom who has cancer, among other issues. The van just added to my stress level. *sigh* I need a vacation!

Well, good luck and God bless with everything! You'll have to let us know how everything turns out!

Good news for me, I guess, is that I went through my checkbook and online bank account today and I have more money in my account for some reason! I can't figure out why! I guess I must have miscalculated something whenever I balanced my checkbook, so now I don't have to wait to pay my car payment! See? Things always work out and I know that they will for you! I still have school bills, though, so everything's not in the clear quite yet!

She has two girls that are my sons best friend and my son is 6. We have fun talking about HSM and Zac. I told my husband that Zac is my side thing. It's so funny. And when I saw Zac in two magazines, I asked my husband to buy them for me. He thinks it funny. I enjoy it. He's a great role model for the teens also.;)

I am 41 and I like Zac and am proud of it. My daughter who is 14 also comes on this site. I came on here as first just to check up on her if I'm honest. I wanted to make sure that she was not entering a site that would do her any harm if you know what I mean.

I have been really impressed with Zefron and now we have some much to talk about. If either of us sees something the other hasn't we cannot wait to let the other know. I know that some of her friends are surprised that we get on so well.

I really respect Zac and what he is doing. I think he is a lovely guy and am proud of what he stands for.

We have seen Hairspray together twice now, my son and husband went to see something else the second time and we met up after the film. It is so nice to be able to share somthing with my daughter when some families find their teenagers distant etc.

Yes, It's really nice to see Zac's accomplishements and what he doing for this generation. He's got a great head on his shoulders and a great family to back him up. My son and I listen to the soundtrack. We will dance together in our living area, I have even danced in my car to the new sound track. Pretty funny a car coming beside you and doing the moves to ALL FOR ONE. That's ok, you only live once.

I talk with my friend Kim who got me into HSM, and we talk about it all the time. It's nice having these kids enjoy clean shows like this one and the cast who are dedicated to doing only good for a change. YOu get tired of hearing about these actor/actresses not knowing how to deal with life. I feel sad for them. I have lots of respect for Zac and the other cast memebers. They all have a very bright future ahead of them.

You guys have taken the words right out of my mouth! This site has been wonderful to come to. I think that the admins have been doing a good job with keeping it clean because there are young ones who come on here. If I find something offensive, I always make sure to say something, because I personally don't like it myself and I am 23! That's so great that you guys do stuff together with your children. I think the closest family member I could do something with is my cousin, who'll be 13 next week. If there is an HSM 2, I so want to take her to it!

Yes, this thread is great, yes, I enjoy Michael listening and watching all the cast memebers. He thinks Gabriella is soooo pretty. When we watch other programs on Disney, he points out who everyone is. It's great. I think these days, we need lots of positive role models and change with the way the world is changing. I see too much as a stay at home mom and it's very scary. I went through a lot this week with my son where a child actually got suspended, I was scared for all the kids in his class. Everrthing got resolved, but to me the first step now is to make sure my child knows right from wrong. I'm just glad he's a good kid. It's very tough being a parent these days. I know, I just totally got off the subject of HSM and the cast, but part of this was how Positive the whole movie and kids are to Michael and my family.

Than when you would have lived in the Netherlands, this thread should be for people who are older dan 16 years, because at that age we are legally allowed to drink beer. You have to be 18 for wine and such. But I believe the government is thinking of raising the age limit, which is a good thing. There are a lot of kids who drink too much at a young age and the numbers are only rising.

It was soooo cute. They have come so far in life all of them. I really hope they like the script enough to do HSM3. It would go down in the history of time for this generation like Star Wars. That would be terrific.

I'll answer this too.

JEALOUS, No .... but my husband has harassed me about being on here, etc but it's all in fun. One time he said something about putting a poster of a girl up in our room and I told him that I was going to swipe a poster from my daughter (of Zac) for the opposite wall. He looked at me funny and I said "what, it's only fair". LOL He knows that I'm a moderator so he doesn't say a lot about it anymore. He usually just says something about "checking your site?" and walks off.

However, he has paid enough attention to understand that Zac is a good rolemodel. He doesn't really even say anything about the pictures on school folders, etc other than teasing.

ME TOO! I was so sad when I saw the site was down. While it was down we had to take my mom to the emergency room. She has been really sick with a "flu" type bug and we had to give up her 4 month old puppy for adoption because she has too many medical problems to take care of him and there was no way I could take him when we are at work all day. It broke my heart. My boyfriend's mom and I called everyone we could think of and no one could take him. The place was really nice and they said he would be adopted fast but it was still heartbreaking.:(

My boyfriend never gets jealous either. He will not watch the movies, not much of a musical fan, but it does not bother him when I do. I have not told him about joining this forum though he probably would think I was crazy:) He did get me the new touch screen IPOD for our 2 year anniversary that is coming up, add he loaded the High School Musical Soundtracks and Movies on it before he gave it to me. Now that is LOVE! I think he is definteitely a keeper. Now if only he would propose we would be doing great!!

Just Interested PM me. talk with you soon. I'm actually on and off here thru the day.:D

Hello Princessdym, I just pm you saying I hadn't seen you posting for a while, now I know where you post.

I was really lost with the site not working. I kept logging on to see the same message that the site was down. I was soooo sad.

This afternoon after I work I logged on for a while and then Bruce posted a message saying the site was going down again, fortunately it was not for long. Now it is up and running and I am happy.

Just need to see some more about Zac in Japan and I will be made up!

Working with your boyfriend/spouse-- So my boyfriend and I work for the same company. That is how we met two years ago and now we own a house together. We do not work in the same department or on the same floor but he is unhappy with his current position and has applied for an open position in my group. Is is a small group, only 4 of us. Of course I would be happy for him to get a job that would not be as stressful for him, more money, and more time off, but on the other hand that is alot of time together. Part of me feels like my job is something I want to keep separate from my personal life and if we really work together how can you keep the two seperate?

Has anyone gone through something similar or have any thoughts?

My sis and bro-in-law used to work at the same hotel and they loved it! They didn't work in the same dept. however, so I guess they didn't see a lot of each other at work. However, through unfortunate circumstances they aren't working at the same hotel anymore, but I think it's just a personal preference on if you want to work with your significant other.

I have, it wasn't too bad. As long as it was professional before, it should not really be a problem. In depends on your relationship now in the office. I dealt with mine on a professional level before and I just kept it the same way. It wasn't stressful for me since it happened before. Now he's my husband, but now I'm a stay at home mom. I just related to him professionally and would say hi and buy. See what happens. Keep me posted. I would like to hear how it goes.

I must say it has been a busy day. I'm not used to be non stop and on the go. I don't know how parents do it with more than one child. I would definitely go nuts. I'm just glad this week is over and the weekend is here. God bless all you parents with more than one child. I couldn't do it. My head is just done for the day.

LOL Diane. Is that a compliment for those of us that have more than one (5 in my case) that maintain at least an ounce of sanity by the end of the day??

We had homecoming parade today. EVERY school-aged kid (and some others) crammed into a few blocks. Add to the chaos, kids on the floats (HS teams / clubs) throwing candy which makes the kids creep farther and farther into the street. FUN!

It's a MAJOR COMPLIMENT. :D The other day, I let Michael take a nap and didn't realize that we had to be at the field, got him up, dressed him, brought him to the car, went back and forth from car to house leaving door open so that he could see me, getting equip. in the car, making sure I had my purse, and never drove so fast in my life. Now imagine a Cadillac speeding. I guess I showed those people what a Cadillac could do. I had a led foot that day. I just don't know how you do it. GOD BLESS YOU MOMS. :D I have friends at Michael's school that have 3 and 4 kids also, I just don't know. I'm just meant to have one. My husband comes from a family of 6. Dennis is number 4. I told my mother n law she had all the kids for me. I consider that my family is Dennis, Michael and our two cats. those are my kids. Oh my.

LOL ... Thanks. On top of 5 kids, I help my Mom out who hasn't driven since MARCH. I take her to all appointments, take her shopping (sometimes just do it for her) and any other thing she needs. I am at her house AT LEAST once a day .... sometimes 4+ times with Dr visits, etc. I am literally running circles some days. However, with the exception of my Jr high daughter, I pick up my kids every day from school. It's important to be here for the kids. (She walks to / from school.)

Sometimes I want to just put my husband and son into a time out. They play football in the house, I tell them to stop and my husband points at our son, I tell him it takes two to tango. You know, I don't think men grow up, I just think they are little kids in an adult body. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It's refreshing now-a-days to see parent's actually spending time with their kids. I worked at a daycare for 5 years and some of those kids were there from 6:30 in the morning when it opened until 6 at nite when it closed. I think the workers saw the kids more than their own parents. I understand parents need to work to make an income for their family, but you also have a family that you need to take care of, and spending time with your kids is taking care of them. I plan to work if and when I have kids, but if my husband makes enough income for the two of us, then I will be perfectly happy being a stay-at-home mom!

I give props to you ladies for being there for your kids and loving them and taking care of them the way they need to be. And let your kids be kids! They grow up so fast, so don't let them grow up so fast. Know what I mean?!

That's definitely true in this day and age. Michael is going to his baseball game right now and Dennis has been an Asst Coach the last three seasons. It's great. I can only go to the evening games now since I had heat exhaustion just recently and got me very sick and physically worn out. He also goes to Tae Kwon Do and I love him doing all the movements and I get to cheer him on. My in laws just went to watch him today. I also Volunteer at Michael's school. Being a stay at home mom is not as easy as it sounds. Yes, it's great, it has it's pros and cons. I do need to be here for Michael though. He is the love of my life. After being home for 6 yrs, I'm learning a lot how to stay busy. The summer time for me is the hardest I must admit. Dennis makes the living that I can be at home, but I do miss making my own money at the same time. Maybe someday I will do something part time, but for now, I guess this is what God intended me to do.

One thing I do enjoy about being home is that I can make the house look festive and Michael loves doing arts and crafts with me. I'm making Trick or Treat bags for the kids in his class right now. I love creating and doing art projects. I love arts and crafts. One year I made Christmas ornaments for ladies when I worked in the office and Christmas branches. It's a great feeling. I also do scrap booking. When there is a 12 hr session, sign me up and make albulms of my family and Michael's sports.

I'm 38 and I will be 39 Oct.15.. Sometimes I feel a lot older and other days I feel a lot younger. Depends on my stress level and who I am around. When I'm around my friends, I feel young, when I'm around Michael old. Hahahah

He's a great child. I love him with all my heart. He does push those mommy buttons like every child does though. For the most part, I'm pleased with him. It's a lot of work and effort though in this age. Kids need a lot of guidance as you said. I feel sad for the kids who have to learn on their own.

I have been reading on articles about Zac, I would really like to see him in Footloose when he finalizes everything. It's nice to see him traveling around the world at a young age and having these experiences. I'm sure when he gets back he will have lots of memories to share. He looks very happy. His parents should be proud. And the write up on AOL was great. He was number 23. That's terrific. It's also nice to see he is family orientated. And he can be a normal kid at the same time. I know that has been mentioned many times, just a fact from my part in seeing all his new pictures and his relaxed photos. It's also nice to see how well he handles the media.

Yes Michael I see everything. Guess what, he just lost his first tooth tonight. I wanted to share that. One of those special moments in a mom's life. My little guy was so nervous and I had to give him a huge hug.

I do admit, I love being a mom, but those days you want to just pull your hair out of your head. :p

As someone turning 40 next year, I'm very excited. 30 wasn't bad either. I could really care less about my age. I have my days when I feel young and my days when I feel old. I am looking forward to getting older b/c there are always great stories to tell about each age. My aunt is aging beautifully. I personally don't even believe in the plastic surgery thing. If it falls, so be it. Nature is taking it's course. It's just something else to laugh about .

As I said the other day, my son lost his tooth. His first one and very precious. His teacher makes big deals out of the milestones and so do I .

Do you have a mircowave? If you do then boil some water in the kettle. Put the corn in a shallow dish pour on boiling water to cover the bottom of the dish about half an inch or so, cover with clingfilm or if the dish has a lid then microwave for about 7 minutes. Try it and if it needs longer than zap it a bit more.

Perhaps Zac should try this rather than the awful hotdogs and regular bread that he did a few days ago. A bit more healthy for him.

Yea right. I can't even eat hot dogs, they make me feel like I had a gallon of water. Then again, I'm not used to eating hot dogs anymore. My system is so different then it used to be with food. I'm not the young pup I used to be. I used to be able to eat anything and now, I just retain it all. That's what happened to all that food, it went to my thys and stayed. Arggggggg.

I have a little goody bag from it and am gonna hang it up on my wall! I love having friends my age who love Zac and HSM, but then it's fun to sing along with 7 and 8 years olds to "Breakin' Free" like I was doing earlier today! :D

It's about time you came back. You have missed on all the fun you started. This thread is wonderful and thank you for starting it. We have has some great things to talk about, and it will just keep on going. YOu put it here and we are using it. How are you doing? My son loves dancing to the HSM2 soundtrack. I actually like that one much better than the first. That's just me. I'm glad you had fun at the party. Keep posting.

I know what you mean. I went to Barnes and Noble b/c Michael dressed himself and getting a book is a big reward to him. Then we went to the counter and of course He got a sugar cookie and mommy got a chocolate chunk cookie. It was soooooooooooooooo good though. Now I have to behave. Man that stinks. LOL

Tell me about it. I just have to look a food and wham on my thighs and belly it goes. Not only do I need to sew my mouth shut I need to tape up my eyes too. I don't think it is worth it I will just have to be cuddly!

I hope you feel better.

Still feel quite blah. Spent over 2 hours delivering cookie dough / candles / coffee from the recent fundraiser my kids' school had. I was proud of how hard they worked ... until I had to deliver it all on a day I felt bad. LOL I still have some in my freezer from people that live out of town (bio mom and her family) and a gal that wasn't home and didn't answer her phone. I love fundraising ....

ROFL .... I heard that it was horrible to turn 30 ... like life was over. When I reached that I was wondering what the fuss was about.

As for Halloween ... I don't usually dress up .. but my husband does. He reverts to a 6 yr old!!

My mom actually told me today the reason she felt so old. I guess at about 30-33 she was trying to get pregnant with my sister and it wasn't working and all those issues, so she was feeling really old. By the time she was 40 she had both of her kids, we were all happy and so it was just less stress lol.

Just remember Belle that hiding behind every dark cloud is a beam of sunlight just waiting to break its way through. So never let the clouds get you down because something special is waiting just behind them.

I just started with quoting you because I was reading the whole thread before posting and I found that so beautiful ... [ Even if, I'm not really in the mood of 'Something special is coming' actually lol =) ]

Now, I can introduce me =p

I'm 21 (22 on March) and I'm French (so I apologize right no for all the mistakes I'm gonna do with my English ... sorry :embarassed: )
I discovered Zac during the last holidays, coz I went to New York & LA in August (btw, it was amazing holidays, and I love America lol).
With my friend, we wanted to go on a real Brodway musical in Times Square but we finally could'nt (long story lol). So, we decided going to a movie, and as I've heard about ('heard about' or 'heard of' ?? I'm not sure arf ...) Hairspray in France, I thought this movie must be actually in theatres in USA. I was right and we saw Hairspray ... Not once, not twice, but ... 7 times !!! So, as you can see, I just fell in love for the film lol ... And for Zac :embarassed:
Of course because he's so beautifully beautiful (I say that kind of phrase all the time in french, but I don't know if it sounds good in english lol) But I also loved his amazing voice, when he sings but also when he just talks, and his talent in acting.

So, arrived in France at the end of summer, I searched on internet everything I could find about him, and all his acting performances.
I'm gonna be honest with you, the two High Scool Musical are not really the kind of movie that I love. To my mind, it's too much ... Hmmm how could I say that ... Cheesy ?? Idk ... Anyway, for me, they are really teen movies. But I just love how Zac is acting even in them, and I think that he's, most of the time, the only one who's acting the right way.
I also watched Summerland where I think is cute and really good again in his performance (he's amazing in his dramatic parts).
I'm not gonna comment all of his stuff so I'm gonna stop it here lol.

In brief, I love Zac Efron, sure because he's so gorgeous (and when I see him I'm actually a teenage girl too ... but still with an older brain so I lust on him so much lool kidding (or not ...) ) and a lovely guy.
But above all because he's an amazing actor, he's so talented and I can't wait to see him in another movies, in Footloose of course, but also in movies where he only act and not dance and sing too (though I love the fact that he can do the three things so well)

I would love meeting him (but I'm sure it's not gonna happen because I live in France), and at the same time I would be so shy and so impressed to talk with him if it happened lol. So, my dreams are definitively over lol

Ok, right now, I just see that I wrote so much so I'm gonna stop. Hope I didn't make so much mistakes and you understood me lol
And I will just say, as an end, I don't support Vanessa or Zanessa too. Not because I hate her because she's got his heart (and his body grrr :p ... Ok I admit I hate her lol).
But just because they are two different people, the'yre independant and I care about Zac but not about her lol The fact they are a couple is none of my business, I don't mind who he's dating.
I just feel concerned about what he does professionnally, I'm just interested in him.
And that will be the final point, yes it is, just see ==> . ;)

Now, I go back finishing to read the entire thread.

Popping in for my daily "hello". I guess I technically missed a day since it's after midnight. Oh well. I have't felt really well so I burried myself in a book .... well, actually two. I'd gotten hooked on books by Janet Evanovich and I recently started on her long series. I checked out #3 on Thursday afternoon and finished it today. I took it back and read #4 cover to cover. I'm beyond shocked at myself. I need to find another author that I like so that I can read other books when her's aren't in. Any suggestions? I might make a thread about it ...... haven't decided.

Goodmorning Belle,

I just woke up. I'm having a hard time getting into reading. What are those books about that you are reading. I'm thinking of read Murder She wrote the TV series. It's hard to find books I like. I must really think of what I like. I like Attorney mysteries. Things that need to be solved. I don't get into Romance very much. I bought a book, more of a self help called The Thank You Power, it was ok, but I do most of it already. I also bought Harry Potter, it's hard to get into for me. If I sit down long enough, I might get into it. I did read "High School Musical2" . Now I enjoyed that. They also have a series of those. UMmmmm
I went scrapbooking last night and seem to be almost done with Michael's sports book. It was fun. There were about 40 women there. Such a great outlet. ;)

I like reading Stephen King books or John Grisham books are pretty good.

As for being over 30, well, actually I'm 35, single, no children and love it right now. I do want a relationship in the future but I'm pretty much happy right now, although I'm starting to get the pangs of motherhood now. :(

That's good. To what is right for you. Nothing wrong with it. My husband got married at 37 and I'm his first marriage. Sometimes it's good to wait. Get everything you like done b/c once you do start a family, life does change. It's a good change, but it does change. Enjoy the single life while you can. Enjoy the thread. We have a great time.;)

If you like things that need to be solved, you would probably like her books. The series I'm working on is about Stephanie Plum, who is a bounty hunter, so she's always got things to solve ... including how to get out of the problems she gets into. LOL She does have some romance, but no series of them.

Here's her website ... http://www.evanovich.com/ You can read pieces of some of her books there too.

I'm on #6 on the Plum series, I've read both of the Barnaby (what got me hooked), I've read 3 of the co-authored romance (also has lots of action / mystery) and a few of her romance.

I had a horrid afternoon yesterday and my hubby worked late. He came in and almost directly to bed. I needed to chat and my computer was having issues with this site. I could go to any other site BUT this one. I was ready to drop kick my computer.

Woke with a headache today so I didn't take my Mom to her out of town appointment. Somebody told me last night that I had a right to "take a break" so I spent until 11:30 wrapped in a book. I have to say in the last several months I have had more headaches than usual. It's my bodies way of telling me that I'm over doing myself. I also found out that I had to go back to the Chiropractor to resolve some of my headaches b/c of lot of my issues stem from my disc in my neck when I got into my car accident. Now it's a weekly session to the Dr's. But it's a must if I don't want those serious headaches. It's pretty bad.

Yes, Bruce said they are having problems, I am wondering if it's all the new people on the site now. The server I don't feel is able to handle all the activity and now they put the Shoutbox back. But you might have to keep an eye on the language as it is still there. I'm being more cautious in that area. You know me, I take things to a personal level, so I will stay out of that part. NOt my place to put my two cents to those kids. Have my own stuff.

Glad you are enjoying your books. ONe day I'll have to sit and read the Harry Potter I bought. I just would like to read Murder she Wrote. I loved that series. Jessica Landburg is a terrific actress. I miss those series.

Today has been a day. I went to my son's class, I could have been the wicked witch. For all those boys who complain about my son, I told one of the boys, he was being just as rough as my son and they were all playing rough today. He just looked at me like he had never gotten into trouble before. Don't mess with this mom after what I saw today. He would not want to live in my house. Where is the ruler and whip. Give me 10 push ups. Just kidding. I have to give all those TEACHERS OUT THERE CREDIT FOR PUTTING up with these kids.

This morning my older brother's father-in-law passed away :( I feel so bad for my sister-in-law and her family. I can't imagine losing a parent. My parents mean everything to me. They are my best friends. My sister in law is quite a bit older than my brother so her father was in his 80's and he has had a rough time of it so I know he is at peace now and that God has taken away the pain. They live in Texas and I am in Arizona so I am not sure yet if we will be able to fly out for the funeral but my brother's family knows our hearts are with them. It is in these moments that you really appreciate life and the people that make each day we have more special. I'm so sorry for both of your losses. I will pray for you both.

I also lost my father three years ago June 1, 2004. He had cancer that spread everywhere and it finally reached his brain and he ended up not being himself anymore. He was the best father anyone could ask for and I miss him terribly even today. I cry every once in a while when I slow down and think about things. I try taking each day as it comes, but I still miss him and what makes this even sadder is the fact that I also lost my grandfather on October 1, 2005 from cancer and pneumonia about a year and 4 months later. Both men were terrific and I loved them to death and let me tell it DOES make you appreciate life more and you also reflect on making changes for yourself too, I know I did.

But if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm just a PM away and would be glad to help each other through it. :)

My Dad died more than just 3 years ago ... it's still hard. I remember him on birthdays and the anniversary of his death. It's sad because he never saw my kids. I've got a brother that gave up his kids to thier step dad, he never got to be re-united with them (we finally got in touch with the boy last May / June and I've been in touch with the girl since the first of this year).

I had a GREAT DAY!!! I hung out with adults and the only kids that were there belonged to other people. OK ... so we talked about babies and how to help moms and their babies ... but at least I had adult chat. LOL

Other than being tired right now, I'm doing pretty good, thank goodness.

Well while Michael was doing his thing, I was making shirts for the first time and sewing jewelry on them for some friends. I just had an idea pop into my head and we will see what happens. Just had to share that. Kind of Random I know. I'm just excited about new things.

Do you like Andies mint, If you do, I can tell you how to make a drink out of hot choc. like that. That sounds very good. Hot choc.

SURE ... come on over, but you'll have to fight my kids for it. I "take over" the coffee pot and heat my water that way. They went thru a whole pot of water before I ever got a cup.

No worries here Steph, I mostly ignore people who do things like this, because to me it shouldn't matter about age. I like him because he's a fantastic actor/dancer/singer and that's all that should matter.

And ANYWAYS, have a good night everyone!

I"m not worried about what they think. They are venting and that is fine. I'm sure if there was a problem with this thread, Belle would definitely say someting. Especially since she is a MOderator.

The kids don't understand, and that's fine, some day they will. When you hear posts like that, they feel left out, but they came to see what was happening, it was their choice, they didn't have to post, but they did, that is the difference of making choices as a grown up and child in my eyes. They have many threads they can go on.

As you said, age has no factor to liking an actor or actress. Have a great day.

To get rid of all the "exclusive" threads, we would have to delete all threads like this ....
including the threads for the Dutch and other nationalities (can't remember who all has one).

Oh, I like 'my' Dutch threat. Than I can talk about some stuff in my own mother tongue.
Is nice for a change. Okay, I do understand that it isn't controlable by the moderators,
but we keep it in line. We were talking (some months ago) about the exams. You can
compare it with the final big tests for every class you follow (math, biology, german,
economics, whatever you take) and see if you pass and graduate. Our educationsystem
is different than the American one. Difficult to compare both in one sentence.

Oh, and we were discussing what 'snapped her cap' means (a line in HSM2, Mrs.
Darbus has snapped her cap). Is it an expression? Because I can't find the real
meaning of it in Dutch. I think that it means something like 'lost her mind', in the sence
that she is talking nonsence.

To me, it sounded like they were saying Zac shouldn't have any fans who are older than him! "OK, sorry, Zac, I can't be your fan anymore because you're 20 and I'm 24. Have a nice life!" Sorry! But I will support Zac, no matter what age we are and it shouldn't matter what age we are, as his fans, we are keeping him where he is and if it wasn't for us, he would be out of a job. OK, there's my rant!

Nothing is going to happen. I"m sure if it was, it would have been deleted already. Some kids got upset, so they put their two cents in. It's over. We are having fun now.

As far as Ms. Darbus, what she says in HSM 2, she is in her own world basically and rambling on. that's what it means when You are going crazy. Not in a bad sense, but she has gone coo coo. Crazy. Does that make Sense?

Have fun on the thread. No worries in my book . I think it's great.

Zac's fanbase doesn't have an age limit. Just because we're on here, doesn't mean that we're "obsessing" over him. Most of us older members don't make comments similar to "Lyk OMG .. he's sooooo HOT!" have names such as "FutureEfron". We respond to threads and have a respect for his TALENT, more than his looks. Just like the Dutch thread helps those members find others who are Dutch, this makes it easier for us older members to find each other.
There have been several teens ... even young teens post on here, but with respect. Please stop attacking this thread trying to cause problems.

What hat are you both referring to?
The "Plum Crazy" hat. The main character's last name is Plum, so that's what it's for. I guess it could have a double meaning too. The way my life has been lately, it would fit too ;) My 2nd fave is "RANGEMAN" (You'd have to read the books to fully understand that one.) You can see them all at http://www.evanovichonline.com/

Oh, I like 'my' Dutch threat. Than I can talk about some stuff in my own mother tongue.

Sorry hun. I wasn't pointing out the Dutch thread as a BAD thing. They were commenting about "exclusive threads" and I used it for as example. I too think that it's a great thing that you can find others from your country. I have even popped in on that thread after I received a book in Dutch from somebody I met during my trip in Chicago from the Netherlands.
I didn't mean to upset you!!

From the first post of this thread:

This is for all the fans of Zac who are over 21 and want to get away from the "youngsters" for a minute and chat about Zac with older fans your age. If you would like, post your name, age, and how you first started liking Zac. Feel free to post on here if you're under 21, but it's mostly for 21 and older. It's not like drinking or anything, where you have to be 21! :p

I suggest reading things thoroughly before attacking and criticizing. It very clearly says that you may feel free to post on here if you're under 21.

Haha okay :)

I'm still at work :( but I'll be outta here in a little under half an hour, so it's okay. Work and applying for law school has been so unbelievably hectic, so I haven't been able to be on the Zefron forums as much as I've wanted to. I do lurk every once in a while though, to just stay updated.

I was in Los Angeles this weekend (I flew down to visit a friend, go to Disneyland :), and go to the Cal-UCLA football game), and my friend Brian and I drove around Hollywood for a while on Saturday night 'cause we were bored and didn't feel like going out drinking with everyone else. We ended up right around the UCLA campus, so we drove past the theater where the LA Hairspray premiere was held, and I freaked out a little bit, haha. It was exciting to see a theater that I absolutely KNEW Zac had been in! I'm a dork, I know

Zac is more than welcome to join this thread if he wants to! Heck, I would LOVE for him to join this thread and tell his older fans how much he loves them and appreciates them for supporting him! And if you're so against my thread, why do you keep posting in it? I said feel free to post if you're under 21 not thinking it was going to be such a big deal! If this thread is so exclusive, what about the Zanessa only or Zashley only threads? Or TV show threads? Everybody posts in those threads without making a big fuss. Why must you come into a thread that I created for fun and discriminate against us?

I think some of these people are having a bad day. I wouldn't worry about what is happening. They are making the choice to come here, no one forced them, I think if it were a problem, Belle would have said something. They are trying to get a rise from us and it is working. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.
