Have a great weekend everyone!!

Just wanted to say a hello to everyone (quiet weekend). I let my daughter join the forum last night. I am a little wary of the internet, chat rooms etc but she is really good about staying out of funny places (I told her no clicking links etc) and not chatting with folks in emails/PM. Sigh. We had a lot of fun last night signing her up and watching clips of the show Ellen on youtube (we do not have cable). I think she is hoping there are some Twilight fans out there to chat with.

Take care & hope you are all well

No I donīt know anyone. I donīt know anyone who works at a publishing house or know someone who knows someone who does. So I just write, maybe do some changes and then send it to a publishing house.
Most of my stories are typical High School Stories, and if they would ever be made into movies, it would be typical High School Movies. In one story Iīve written itīs this girl who is in this little popular group but doesnīt really fit in there. A new guy comes to school and her friends likes him, and so does she, but one of her friends always get she guy she want so this girl doesnīt think she can have him. But he likes her. And there is a school talent show.
My fantasy story is 5 books. The first is about a stone, the secon and third one about a ring, and the other is about the female main character. Hopefully I get them all published.
And they guy... Well, itīs been 4 years and 8 months since I first fell in love with him.. I donīt think we are meant to be....

Well that is alot to be busy with. Your writing sounds great. Do you know of someone who would want to help you out with your writing and turn something into a book one day? That would be terrific. What kind of things do you write about? I wouldn't worry about the guy, one day if it is meant to be.

Evening guys. Had a bit of a :( day
Found out I have to wear glasses. I went to the opticians cos I thought I was going shortsighted, couldnt read roadsigns in the distance like I used to be able to.
Turns out I'm not, the blurry-ness is caused by astigmatism which needs to be corrected with spectacles. Age is a wonderful thing!

Iīve had glasses since I was 3, but have contacts since I was 14 I think.
And I`ve never been able to read roadsigns in the distance.

I know what you mean. I love to write stories. Mostly just for me, but I have tried numerous time to get them published and nope. I'm like you though. I don't write everyday but when I do watch out and do not disturb me. I think the most I have ever written in one sitting was something like 50 pages or so. But that had a lot to do with the fact I was writing the climax to the story lol. Good luck with your writtings from one author to another. What kind of stories do you write? I love reading and writing fantasy and alternate history.

I really hope Iīm not writing only for me. I donīt want all the ideas for books and movies, or songs, if itīs only gonna be for me. They kind of whatīs the point?
Wow, 50 pages. Iīve writte that in a couple of dats, but never in one day.
Good luck to you too.

Does anyone here have sleeping problems?

*raises hand* all the time. I'm lucky if I get four straight good hours of sleep. the rest of the night, toss turn, toss turn jolt awake look at the time and then it starts all over again. Oh and not to mention the sleep walking and sleep talking lol

I have had the hardest time sleeping lately. I told my husband I think it's b/c I am used to Michael waking me up so often that now it bothers me and I think he's going to wake me up all the time. I'm so out of it on a daily basis it bothers me. I'm so moody also now.

Tabby, did you get my post, you never answered/

Nikki holds her hand up too. Me and sleep just dont seem to mix too well just now.

I go in phases and there is no pattern to why I do or dont sleep. I try to have a warm bath with camomile or lavendar in the water, and then I take tablets called Kalms, they help with stress too so they keep me calmer during the day on a bad day and then help me sleep. I take two twice a day and then 3 at bed time and that usually help. I am an early riser which means I get to read lots - good sometimes and no so good at other times.

When I am worried about things then I am 10 times worse and it does not matter if I write down my worries etc, it makes no difference. I just have to work through the situations and then hope things will settle down.

I find I very rarely go to bed before midnight because it really would be a waste of time, I would be like Tiff, tossing and turning and getting crosser and crosser with myself. I now wait until I am quite tired and then I have more hope of sleeping.

My favorite is my "Oh my god what time is it" wake up call at right around 3am. If I don't get to sleep when I THINK I should I keep looking at the clock saying "Great! Now I only have 6 hours and 18 minutes to get some sleep" lol. But take away my clock and I'm not sleeping at all. I sleep better during the day then at night.

Humans by nature are pattern driven. Diane if your son always woke you up at say 5:30am your body will naturally wake up at that time. That could be one of your sleeping problems. Another might be you are subconsciously worrying about it when your sleeping therefore waking you up. The best thing you can do is start setting up a new pattern and see if that is what is causing it. Pick a time to go to bed. Not sleep but lay there and rest. Right before you go to sleep stare are your alarm clock for atleast two minutes. Think of nothing else but the clock. A sleep specialist told me that. It worked for me for a while. Once your body gets use to going to sleep with no thought, it will sleep through the night.

Hey guys I just wanted to share a really neat video I just watched. We are all older here and so I am sure we can appreciate it a little more, what it means for our children one day too. Did you know that every since the 1950's personal happiness has been on the decrease in a big way? This video is a well done little snippet and I just wanted to share it with you. I would also recommend this awesome book called "Living Simply With Kids" if the little movie inspires you.

It's nothing that couldn't be solved, but took some time to deal with. I'm improving everyday. I will be here, but off and on to deal with the real world also. You are my zefron family and care very much for you. For those of you who have my email, it might be good to use that if I don't post often. It's not that I don't want to be here, but sometimes I want to have a few days when I'm not around the forum if that makes any sense. I love personal emails anyways. Lately girls, I must admit, I had been very edgy and just wanted to cry everyday b/c everything in my head has been hurting. It truly takes the wonders of life and makes it miserable to the point you can't even focus on the positive which I normally can give plenty of advice on. But lately forget about me giving advice, I just want to hit dr's lately, especially men drs. Today was actually the first day I have felt like myself, but I have to take it one step at a time. It's not easy girls. Life can nip you right where it counts. When you don't have control, you tend to hate life. Thank god I do journal, that is what has been helping me through some horrible times. I wanted to share what has been happening. Having Mental illnesses stink.

Good luck on the "quiet and relaxing weekend". With kids that is something that most people only DREAM of.

A friend received her taxes and asked my hubby to "take me on a date" Saturday. I have NOOOOO idea what we're doing, but maybe it'll help break some of the stress I'm under ...... at least for a few hours.

Hubby is still jobless. I'm at the library now and will go to my Mom's later to search jobs, etc. I hope we find something SOON. I'm going to send his information to some "recruiters" for trucking companies to see if that gets us anywhere.

She sang her original from the Titanic. the remake from heart, My Love, Love can move Mountains, Let this be our Prayer duet with Andre Bocelli, Angel, Some other new ones I'm not to sure of but they were remakes from the past, her dancing she signed an autograph for someone, she danced, her mom was in the audience tonight, I'll Taking Chances, I'll look on the CD Ihave. I was in another body experience and dancing tonight it was so awesome. I don't normally go to concerts, but she is worth it.

^So awesome! I would have loved to have heard that live! Someone sang it at a pageant competition at my school and she was my favorite performer and won the talent award! She was really good, but I'm sure Celine would have been WAY better! :p

HI guys - I know I said good bye already but I saw HSM3 for the first time today and how could I not stop in a say hello. I was thinking about you guys and wondering how many times you have probably all seen it already and here is was my first :embarassed:
We took the whole family and my youngest little guy (3) was on the edge of his seat the whole time and his favorite song was the "boys" song (of course). When the show was over he went up to the front and was dancing on the little stage in front of the screen...mimicking those dance moves from the movie.

I hope you are all having a bit of time to yourselves this weekend. I know a lot of us have a lot of extra stress to deal with lately (be it the economy, job loss...or other issues) and so I hope you all get a moment of peace this weekend, a chance to laugh.

Take care
Mandy

Yes - good thing! 3 weeks is not too long to wait. I noticed that Zac seemed a lot more mature in this film. He is a great actor, yes, but there were differences in his performance this time. He learned quite a bit working on different projects I think. I really noted that he stood out in the movie as a really good actor - not just a character type. It was nice to see.
My husband said "I think he is going to be the next Brad Pitt". It was cute.

We miss you Mandy and I emailed you a while back. I still haven't seen the movie, but it comes out on DVD in the next few weeks, so I am very anxious to see it.

Well everybody, I'm starting to feel better. Went to the Primary and have very bad sinuses due to weather and allergies. I have some other things to take care of , but the pressure is pretty much gone from my head and I can think of good things without feeling horrible.

Mandy, I hope you come on more often or at least email me.

Hi, Charlotte! I'm Jessica! I'm 25, but single and don't have any kids of my own, but I teach Preschool, so I relate to the kids and always talk to them about HSM and Hannah Montana! :p

Hope you feel better, Diane! Guess who I'm listening to at this moment?! Celine Dion just came on my iTunes shuffle!

Mandy, I know what you mean about Zac seems to have improved so much since HSM 1. He def has come into his own as an actor and I don't want to call him the "next Brad Pitt" because I hate Brad Pitt!  But I can see the comparison with the heartthrob status and everything. I was telling my friend about 17 Again and she said it was gonna be weird to see him in something that wasn't a musical! :o I didn't even think about that, but the last 3 movies he has done has been musicals (HSM 2, Hairspray, HSM 3) and so I am really anxious to see his "non-musical" side, as much as I love him singing! :p

Jessica - Did you ever see Zac in The Derby Stallion - that was not a musical and I know it was some time ago that he filmed it but he was still very good. Also dont forget Miracle Run, now that was brilliant. I guess its just such a long time ago that he did something without music. I for one cannot wait for 17 Again or MOAW. Also just to add that Brad Pitt does nothing for me either so you are not alone there, give me Zac anyday!!!!!:) - As an actor of course!

Yeah, I saw both of those and loved them, but they were such a long time ago! It's like he hasn't done anything, but musicals in about 5 years! :o And since I first saw him in HSM 1. I only watched those movies after I started liking Zac, so I'm anxious to see something else from him! :D And glad to know I'm not the only one who doesn't like Brad Pitt. He was just OK to me before, but when he left his wife for Angelina Jolie, he became much less attractive to me!

I hope and pray that your hubby finds some work real soon. Sounds like you are doing everything you can to find something. Good luck!
She didn't get her income taxes ... so the date won't be for another 2 weeks. UGH!
My hubby is still unemployed. He's got a couple leads for jobs, but they won't pay as well as before. One would get him on the road which might help him get to a better paying OTR job. Who knows .......

HI Caz

My two were off school today and they are praying like mad that they will be closed tomorrow too but I think they are out of luck as its raining here now, guess it just depends if the temperature drop a lot over night and everything freezes. How are things in your area because I think you have had far more snow that we have had here? Mind you even the tiny bit we have had seems to have made everything stop - buses, schools etc etc.

Hi Diane, I am good, thank you :)

Nikki, we've not had it that bad here, a lot more snow than I can remember in a long time but I think only 2 or 3 inches max in my town. Cambridge itself had a lot more, their schools were all closed on Mon, when I only had the high school closed. Little one was at school til lunchtime so the staff could all get home before it was due to be heavy again at three.
This country does tend to go overboard when it snows! I was watching Sky News on Mon afternoon and it was if the snow was the only thing that happened in the world!

Hubby starts a new job MONDAY!!! YAY! Things are going to be extremely tight for a bit ... but we'll be ok. I'll probably have to get a part-time job ... if I can find one to work around my kids and my Mom. However .. that should give us enough extra that I can get internet back in my house! God has always provided for us ... and my hubby is excited about this one. It'll less stressful, physically and emotionally. The last couple days in our home have been MUCH better.

Same here, my son's school closed at lunchtime and so did my daughters only she was on a school trip to Southampton for poetry reading (at the Mayflower) for her English GCSE. They cut short the trip and headed home but it took them hours because of the bad roads - there was so much snow and ice that the cars were in great long queues. I had a job to get to the schools to pick them up, I was really glad to get back home again in one piece. Fortunately Friday is my day off so I was able to get them earlier than normal.

Where did it come from I ask myself, I really thought it was all over and moving up the country. Sounds like there is more to come tonight so just have to wait and see.

Hope things are ok your way!

Well they got my results from my catscan and I have build up in my sinuses so I have to go to a specialist which is fine with me. That is why I have had so much trouble with headaches and focusing in life. The pain of all the sinus build up is build up over build up. So I guess when I had problems, it never went away. So now hopefully everything is going to be taken care of. ONe part is at least dealt with.

Funny how our health can take a part of our fun away. I love to be happy and bubbly, but when you don't take care of the problem and don't know what it is, it can make life horrible.

Hey all!

My hubby is liking the job. It's long hours but easy work.

I've spent the last 3 days doing NOTHING because after the flu going thru the family ... it finally hit me. UGH! I was able to avoid getting up to take the kids to school by sending my 2nd grader to a neighbor who is only about 3 homes away. I have a friend that picks her up to bring her home except for Tuesdays and Fridays. (which ends today .. see vent) However Tues I got another friend to get her. Last night, that friend picked up my 7 and 5 yr old to take them to their church activity and then brought them home. She's so awesome!!

 VENT time ... As mentioned ^^ a friend picks my daughter up. Today she showed up at my house and told me that my daughter (I'll refer to as J) "got in the van and then jumped out saying it was Friday". About the time she left, the phone rang an it was the principal. SHE had a different story, which is where the VENT comes from. The principal (and daughter) said that "J" was getting in the van and my friend STARTED DRIVING AWAY. The door wasn't even closed and "J" had the clear head enough to let go and jumped away. THANK GOD because she could have been seriously hurt. The ordeal was dramatic enough the that principal is calling the police for child endangerment. According to what my friend told me, and per the witnesses, she didn't pay attention or notice that she didn't have "J" until she got to my house!!! OMG .... I was shaking all the way to the school and on the verge of tears. I told the principal that from now on, unless I call,I will be picking J up, but I'd be late because of my pre-schooler (reason my friend was picking her up for me). When I left the school, I took "J" to a convenience store to get a pop. She asks "Is it because I'm smart and let go?" I'm too pissed to call my friend tonight. I pick J up on Fridays anyway ... so I don't need to deal with my friend for a few days anyway. AAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK ... good thing. Saturday is a "fun match" which is a show that is more for fun / practice than a normal show. If you've ever seen any dog shows on TV, this is what I'm going to do with him. (ie. Westminster in the USA or Crufts in the UK) At a fun match, they allow 3 month old pups to show and Cian will be 3 months, 4 days old. I've been working with him ... with the exception of the last few days. He walks on a leash and is learning to stand, so hopefully he'll do well. His littermates have been winning shows already so we'll see if he can add to the ribbon total for this litter. I'm nervous as I don't have a lot of experience with this! The BEST part about Saturday is that I have a babysitter so my hubby and I get to spend the day together WITHOUT KIDS!

Thanks!

I did call my friend ... and just told her that "to avoid confusion on the days .. I'll pick her up". She says "OK, if that's what you want" a bit snotty, like I was in the wrong, but I think she knows that she screwed up. Oh well! I haven't had a chance to talk to the principal to see if anything has been done about calling the police on her or not.

My hubby came home venting ... apparently he hates his job already. However, with the economy the way it is, he's basically forced to stay with it for now. Hopefully the oil prices will go back up enough that he can be called back to his old job.

My puppy is awesome. We went to the show Saturday. He was the only Aussie pup in 3-6 months so he automatically went on. He competed against a pup that was in the 6-9 age group and beat her. He got a ribbon for Best of Breed. He went against the other herding dog pup and lost. I think it was almost a year because it was huge and well behaved. Beating the other aussie made my day. I got tips from a friend of his breeder so we'll work and try to be ready for the next one.

Welcome to our family thread. I hope you enjoy. The difference is that we don't do the teenage talk. We talk about our families, how well Zac is doing and we support each other when things are hard. We love having new fans here. There is no bashing and no foul language. We welcome any age as long as you respect the thread.

Hi one and all. I got my copy of HSM3 on Monday and watched it that afternoon. I cried watching it at home but was ok in the cinema for some reason, guess because of all those other people around me. I love this movie so much. My hubby watched it too and he said it was very good, which is praise indeed from Zac's rival!!!! (only kidding the is no competition really)

I hope you are surviving half term Caz!!!

I just saw HSM3, wowowowwowowwowowowowowowowowowo I just picked it up yesterday. I only rented it for now, but will probably buy the 2disc edition. All of my kids agreed that it was the best of the 3. We were laughing so hard at times. Zac, as usual was amazing. The "Scream" choreography reminds me of Footloose and can imagine that he'll do a great job with it. I love watching Zac and Vanessa together ... the way they look at each other is just .... awwwwww.

It was on Sky Movies Premiere. I sky+d it and have just fastforwarded through it to see the performance. Amazing! If you havent seen it, its now on youtube. After I get back from taking Chloe to school I am going to carry on watching so I can see him presenting too.

Sorry. I didn't mean any offense. It just seems lately that there have been a lot of people around my age who are leaving the forums because they're being bashed and criticized for liking or not liking something and a lot of it seems like it's coming from younger ones. I guess we don't know for sure anyone's age unless we flat out say it, but I do agree that some 14 year olds can be mature. It just doesn't seem like it in some cases.

Don't say sorry, you have the right to speak your mind. There are teens here, and some just like to get the wrong attention. Never say sorry in this thread. We are adults. You are entitled to speak just like she did. The youth has a tendency for being defensive and something they need to outgrow. I know why she came here too and so does she. Don't bother and move on. We didn't even mention her name.

I know a lot of immature 14 year olds on this forum and honestly I know a lot of immature 21 year olds on here too. Don't worry I wasn't upset, I knew what u meant and that's sad. I don't think there's something wrong with older people being no here. I just don't think it needs to be the ONLY thing they are about. I talk to 14 year olds and I talk to 24 year olds. I talk to males, females, gays and straights. I don't think it can be a clear division how a person acts. It's how their parents raised them. Some people on here just don't have the capabilities to be mature because they either want to see "cool" or they just don't have a mom to whip their behind like they need.

YOu know what, this is why we have a thread for this case. Case closed. We shouldn't have to go through this. There is a reason for everything. I'm a mom and I don't have to explain myself. This is why I come here. I enjoy our thread, I am going to have some of this deleted. This is not necessary and won't be put up with here. WE are all mature enough to know that this is not what this thread is about.

Lets continue to enjoy Zac and our families. No more bashing is aloud. End of discussion.

You may bring my name up all you want. You know how I feel. Say no more and I will say I love my friends and family here.

OK ladies. Here's the thing ... using the phrase "teeny bopper" can also be seen as negative depending on the way it's used, so please be careful. Zefron is a great site devoted to an amazing actor. His fan base is currently the pre-teen - teen age group because of the HSM trilogy. However, because of his talent, he has been noticed by those of us who are old enough we could have been his babysitter. ;) There is no age limit to be a fan of Zac, whether it is a younger crowd looking to him as a rolemodel (ie my 5 yr old), a teen swooning and screaming "OMG Zac ...... " or those of us who respect him for his talent and / or found him because we have a screaming teen. Kathryn has made this amazing site for ALL of us, so please, PLAY NICELY!

OK ... I'm done.

^Thanks, Belle, for putting us straight! :p I will try to be more careful next time! I mean, that is why I totally made this thread because sometimes I felt I was out of the loop age wise, and it's nice to see I'm not and we should all support each other around here, no matter what age we are! Some people just don't respect that and it's sad!

Thank you Belle and i like what you said !

To be honest i watched HSM 1 and 2, but i wasn't interested by him at all...lol a lot of my friends were "Zac is so hot blablabla" and i was like "ok, so what ?" LOL

But, one day i watched an ITW of him just before HSM 3's release, and i've been VERY surprised of his purposes. and I thought "ok, this guy is not just a "teen idol", a cute guy, he has actually a brain...". I began being interested in him, i watched Hairspray, i saw HSM 3, and today i'm here ahah

You know all the story ahah

HSM3 was the best out of all, I laughed and cried and my son couldn't understand. Zac is just so talented.

I completely agree! I warned my friends before we watched it that I was prob gonna cry and they couldn't understand why! I asked my friend what she thought about it after she watched it and she said that it was predictable and I told her I seriously didn't know what troy was going to do!

I didn't cry, but i agree, HSM3 was the best !

I love Zac as an actor of course, but above all as a Man...how he thinks, his philosophy of life, he motivates me !

HSM 3 is definitely the best out of all. Itīs more... serious.. i donīt kow.. But Iīm sure you understand what I mean.
I didnīt cry, and I donīt think my friend did either, but we were both very close at the end. It was like "itīs really over now", and that was sad... Iīm finally gonna watch it again tomorrow! Only 3 time...

I really canīt wait to see Footloose...

hey everyone I still haven't bought HSM3, we rented it lol I still think it is the best one of the three, although really nothing can compare to the first. I think it gave all the actors a chance to show what they have. I still can't believe how much they have grown up since HSM.

Hope everyone is doing well

When I was in HS I had several posters on my walls. If I was a teen, I have to admit that Zac would probably be up there too. He was on the walls of our basement until we had water damage a couple years ago.

Same here, when I was younger i was a huge fan of "buffy the vampire slayer" ahah and James Marsters was my heroe LMAO i had many posters of him on my walls. And i think, posters of Zac would have had their place on my walls (i'm not sure about the grammar, sorry ).

But, what i said, is that when we're teenagers, the "most important" is the physical appearence...last week i was speaking on msn with a 15-years-old girl, and when i said i was 21, she answered me "oh, you can date Zac :-(" .............

I'm not angry at her, i was the same with James lol. But we're growing up ^^

Well now I'm looking forward to 17 again and the remake of Footloose.

I think if you want an idea of both movies, rent

"Big" with Tom Hanks

and Footloose with Kevin Bacon and see what you think. I think Footloose is going to make you think of HSM in certain scenes. Kenny is prepping us for that. I don't know about 17again.

I am looking forward to 17 Again. All the clips we keep seeing and the extra photos just to keep us interested! Roll on April!

I am sure that when Kenny directed Scream, they were practising for Footloose, I could see similarities from the scenes when Kevin Bacon danced in the train yard, the frustration etc. I think it will be just as good,

Yes, Scream does make you think of Footloose. I think the remake will be just as good as the original Footloose. At least I hope so.. I havenīt watched it for a long time, but I really like the movie.

I canīt wait to see 17 again too. Iīve seen the trailer, and from that it seems to be a really fun and good movie. I think we will be able to see it in April. So not that long from now.....

Me and my sister have watched HSM 3 twice since Friday. And we had to watch the bloopers twice too. Theyīre hilarious. I just love the bloopers. :) And Lucas, when he does the funny faces in High School Musical. You just have to laugh.
I can have the movie till Friday, so i will probably see it at least once more :) I have to take the chance now that I have it :) Cause I canīt buy until at least next month.

Yeah :)
And we donīt have all that " he`s so good cause so good-looking".
When people asks people why they like someone, they always have to say "cause heīs so cute". I wish someone could ask me some time. Cause I wouldnīt start by saying itīs because heīs so good looking. Of course Zac looks good, but thatīs not what makes him a good actor...

Iīm watching HSM Dance-along. They just did the dance to Getīcha head in the game.
Zac: Itīs okay to miss. Lucas does that all the time.
Lucas: What? I wasnīt even it that scene.
