Based on best-selling author Nicholas Sparks’ best-selling book, “The Lucky One” follows a war veteran who finds a mysterious photo of a beautiful woman that leads him to a timeless romance.

The Lucky One on Blu-Ray and DVD August 28th

Warner Home Entertainment has announced that the Nicholas Sparks romance THE LUCKY ONE, directed by Scott Hicks and starring Zac Efron, Taylor Schilling, Blythe Danner and Riley Thomas Stewart, will be available in a two-disc Blu-ray/UltraViolet Digital Copy combo pack on August 28th, 2012.

THE LUCKY ONE follows Logan (Zac Efron), a marine who has served three tours in Iraq and travels to Louisiana to search for the woman he believed was his good luck charm during the war. Since this is based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, I’m sure there is some kind of heart-wrenching and tear-jerking twist that will make everyone sap up, but hopefully give us a happy ending anyway.

‘The Lucky One’ Overperforms with #2 Debut Weekend

The Lucky One starring Zac Efron is looking like $8.9M Saturday — about even with Friday – for a $22.8M weekend. This is another wild overperformer because the studio only expected $15M through Sunday. Playing in 3,115 theaters, it received a ‘B+’ CinemaScore from audiences.
